Ringmaster our flag ship pale ale, is the beer you’ll want to drink every day. Pale in colour but unlike other pale ales lacking nothing in the flavour stakes. We use plenty of US hops to give the beer a floral/grassy aroma and lip smacking citrus flavours which combine with a defined malty character to make a magically moreish and quenching beer. It’s session beer the same but different, conjured for flavour…

Session ipa as it should be. Tasty, light, nice in the sun. Calling it the fosters of proper beer doesn't sound right but that's how it feels. Could drink out all day.

Schooner on draught from The Hanging Bat, Edinburgh (£3.00):
This one was quite an enjoyable session offering from Magic Rock, whilst it wasn't one that hit the heights of their Highwire pale ale it was still a very nice beer and one whose main strength lay in how easy it was to drink. The beer packed quite a lot of flavour into its 3.9% abv. and although the nose could have been a little stronger it certainly couldn't be considered weak or watered down. Good stuff again from Magic Rock and definitely a beer worth trying, particularly if your looking for a decent session beer.

On cask at Black Sheep, Dublin.

Polished bronze with steady white film and lots of floaties.
Tangerine sour ball nose with some yeasty tang.
Salty wheat crackers, some proofing bread dough, then peach and tangerine hops with some flowers.
Lemon zest finish and vegetal bitter linger.
Halfway to medium, some chew, round.

Real chalky bitterness and some nice fruit. But is it up to Magic Rock standards? Too perfumed, though questions about the condition, too. Underwhelming, in the end.
