Really hazy yellow color with creamy white head and lots of yeast sediment on the bottom of the glass. Aroma is really dank and grassy but also with nice pineapple and papaya notes. Taste starts juicy and slightly sweet, continues with grassy/dank hop notes and finishes with just the right amount of bitterness. Medium to full bodied with just the right amount of carbonation. Overall this is one of the best IPAs from Europe. It pretty much goes the same direction as the New England style IPAs.

From 32GP. 1 month after bb date (my fault) At Barcelo Mar, in toothbrushes glass. After dinner. Hops are missing punch but its still pleasant, with a sweet and thin highly drinkable body. Will repeat fresh soon.

7 May 2017. In Teku glass. Watching Los Soprano 6x19. Grassy and herbal, with a highly drinkable light body that hides perfectly well its abv. Leaves a nice and refreshing aftertaste

A wonderful IPA. It looks refreshing and has a lovely fresh hoppy smell. The bitternes goes well with the smell and the half dry aftertaste.

It comes in a nicely designed green can (similar to the whole series), not the bottle pictured here. Also, it is written "India Pale Ale" on it, not "American Pale Ale".
Golden hazy colour, with a lot of sediments at the bottom.
Right after opening the can, an appealing elderflower (plus other aromatic herbs) smell hits you.
The taste is a combination of fruits (pears mainly) and plants, feeling herbal and a bit bitter at first, dry on the palate. The yeast is there also. After a while, the taste becomes sweet (like honey) and strongly aromatic: passion fruit, apricots, grapefruit.
An extremely well done IPA, more similar to an American one, than the European usual one.
Highly recommended!

Almost perfection, there are no weak links in this beer's chain. Drunk between the Rutland Arms and Dada in Sheffield, this beer's golden orangy glow and complex white lacing are a treat for the eyes. In the mouth its almost perfection with a muscular but supple body which supports the flavour profile of tight juniper and resiny intensity. But its the body's full silky lusciousness which really wins this over for me.

Undoubtedly my favourite UK brewed IPA for the minute. A pile driver in the face of the 'cask or nothing else' movement.

Weird how this got such low grades.
Rich tropical and mushy green onion aroma, just a whiff of sweet malt.
Tons of rich juicy citrus, pineapple and mixed canned tropical fruit, with a sweet malt backbone that's a perfect fit, and a rich hoppy finish (tons of pine resin, even some spicy weedy dank notes).
And still, not a steamroller bitterness, there's quite a nice fruitiness left behind (+thick grapefruit pith). Perfect prickly carbonation. Nice hoppy burps (hehe).
I don't get it. It's really on par with a lot of other US heavyweights. Just my two cents.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of June 2012 (batch 2781). Picked up recently from the Bottle, York.

Poured into a Delirium tulip. A hazy orange-amber hue with low carbonation. Almost no head; a brief foamy effervescence occurs while pouring but disappears within seconds. An intense hoppy aroma of resinous pine with hints of citrus and tropical fruit. Notes of sweet malt and dry yeast in the background.

Tastes of overwhelming aromatic hops, culminating in a bitter finish. Notes of pine resin, citrus and tropical fruit. Hints of malt and dry yeast. Intensely bitter upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, prickly and spicy. Highly astringent - dries the palate thoroughly. Good body. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops; plenty of pine in evidence.

Impressive - a fantastic IPA. Defiantly American in style, and intensely hoppy in aroma and flavour. These had only just arrived at the shop after a period of absence, so I believe they were pretty fresh. I reckon this could give a few US-brewed IPAs a run for their money. If you like hoppy IPAs, then this is the brew for you.

A: poured from a 330 ml bottle ( best by end Oct 13) into a pint glass, orange amber colored with a nice white head that lingers leaving some lacing, cloudy

S: very citrus aroma, orange, lemon zest, grapefruit, pineapple, fruit salad, outstanding

T: grapefruit peel, lemon, sweetens in middle, finish is dry and pine

M: heavier and slightly oily, higher carbonation, slight alcohol

O: the smell of this beer is near perfection for an American style IPA, other characteristic are good but overshadowed by the excellent nose, awesome that a UK brewery nailed a West Coast IPA
