V.6 IPAV.6 IPA
BEER INFO

Brewed by:
Wichita Brewing Co. & Pizzeria West
Kansas, United States
wichitabrew.com

Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Hopheads Unite! This India Pale Ale has enough hop assertiveness to stand up to the IPAs of the Pacific Northwest. The Warrior and Amarillo hops are a one-two punch to the senses and provide a pleasant, spicy, citricy hop bitterness and flavor across the palate and deep into the finish.

12 oz can

Pours medium Amber, heavily hazed, frothy medium tan cap, leaving long lasting and fine fields of stick.

Earthy hop infused nose.

Hopped up IPA, resiny, piney, on the bitter side of a lot of recent IPAs I've sampled. Meh, not my favorite

Cloudy dirty orange color, I thought the server brought me a hefe at first glance.
Smells nice and citrus fruity. Definately not a hefe. A+
Rich juicy mouthfeel, tastes like it looks and smells... really good hop juice. Amarillo in here for sure. Mostly late addition, low bitterness.
Looks weird, tastes great.

Served in a cold ale glass.

Two fingers head, bartender overflowed the head to deliver a full serving. Color was medium amber, slightly clouded.

Aroma was citrus and hops, not overly strong.

Mouth-feel had a hint of grit, went to the rear of the throat and remained. Flavor was citrus and hops with some bitterness. Excellent blend of hops.

Lacing was great with very fine bubbles.

I have had very few better IPAs. This one just kept on giving and made it difficult to follow with a different beer. Next time it will be the closer.

On tap in a shaker pint glass.

Look: Slightly hazy orangish amber color with an light cream colored head. The head recedes to a wisp and thick bands of lacing line the glass.

Aroma: Nice floral hops, and sweet subtle apricot and fruit notes.

Taste: A nice bitter pine beginning with a coating of sweet fruits. The finish is hoppy as well. It's like a hop sandwich with an apricot center.

Mouthfeel: Slightly sticky, with medium body.

Overall: Excellent flavor. This IPA is delicious.

The go-to IPA right here, folks. Others compare but if you live in the Wichita area and are looking for an IPA, you can't go wrong w this one. I get about a six-pack of these like every two days. Not good w describing beers and their profiles n shit but if you like IPA's, this one is well worth it! I've tried bad ones and this is in my top 3 and a definite go-to IPA!

A - Amber color with a small, white head of foam.

S - Piney, citrusy and floral.

T - It tasted of piney bitterness with some tropical fruits. Slightly bready with a touch of caramel.

M - It was crisp and sharp.

O - This is a nice IPA.

Nice golden body with a relatively thin, sticky white head; rings of lacing along the glass. Spicy, pine aroma with caramel malt tones. Spicy, bitter flavor. Heavy body; coarse; sticky sweetness on the palate.

Picked up a six-pack in Abilene a few weeks back while traveling back to Colorado. There is not freshness date available. There is some lack of depth to the aroma, but who knows how long the beer had been in the can. Regardless, the beer is an above average IPA in the taste department and is worth checking out.
