Style: American Amber / Red Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.82%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
It's always 5:02 at WBC and this is the perfect pint to begin your voyage. Caramel and toasted malt dance across the palate with American hop flavor balancing, but never overtaking the malt character. Bittering is assertive enough to sharpen the finish without taking away from a pleasant malty-sweet presentation.

Drawn from a tap into a pint ale glass.

Appearance is an amber color just cloudy enough not to be seen through. About one finger of a creamy white head that has a moderate life and leaves a mild lacing.

Aroma is roasted malt, with caramel. Not very strong, but nice.

Flavor is toasted malt, caramel, and a touch of bitters.

Finish leaves a semi-sweet taste on the palate, followed by what appeared to be a dash of orange.

A good beer for the end of a day, and one that goes down well with one of their pizzas.

Poured out a reddish color with a small, tan head. It smelled malty and of piney. A nice sharp bitter hop bite. It has a burnt toast maltiness. It was crisp and sharp with a dry finish.
