Growler filled from Cranbury Buy-Rite. Poured into a Delerium Tremens snifter.

Pours a deep, dark, ruby red color with a finger of sticky foam. Aroma is overwhelmingly hoppy, full of tropical fruity hop flavors. Alcohol/booziness singes the nostrils a bit as well.

Wow, this is an in your face beer. First sip is dominated by strong hop flavors, firm bitterness, and boozy finish. Substantial malt body and toffee like sweetness hide behind the assertive hops.

This is a really great, flavorful beer. Only negative for me is that it is a touch on the boozy side still, maybe a little age will soften that.

Huge tropical hops and a killer caramel malt backbone. This is great barleywine. Surprisingly, dangerously drinkable for the strength. The finish is more traditional biting citrus, and I'm left wishing I had a bigger bottle.
