Pours a deep, dark mahogany color with a 1-finger tan head. Leaves a decent ring of lacing.

The aroma brings lots of tart cherries, roasted almonds, some fig and raisins, and a touch of brown sugar.

The taste is lightly roasted, with notes of wheat bread, cherries, raisins, and just a bit of spicy rye.

The feel is full bodied with low carbonation. Sticky, yet pretty smooth. Has an incredibly dry finish, like a mouth full of cotton. Slight alcohol warmth.

Overall, a pretty solid Quad. Doesn't offer anything new or exciting but the flavors and aromas are good all around.

Bottled in early 2016 (no date on bottle). Poured into Lawson's Belgian tulip glass.

L: 3F+ light tan foamy head with very long retention, cap, ring. Beer is a very dark chocolate color.

S: Cherries and dark fruits, caramel, rye malt, cocoa, and kandi sugar. Nose is kinda laid back, but...

T: Lots of flavor in the taste. Dark fruits, especially cherries and prunes, caramel and chocolate malts, with some rye malt to add sourness to balance the kandi sugar.

F: Medium to full bodied, light carbonation. Chewy and lingers in the tongue. Well-constructed and balanced and definitely something you want to share or linger over.

O: Very good quad. High quality and lots going on.
