Notes:
Saturday Night Lights started with an imperial stout brewed with bourbon barrel-aged Vermont maple syrup and marshmallows added to the kettle. From there, this full-bodied, indulgent beer was then conditioned on toasted graham crackers, cacao and vanilla beans. Saturday Night Lights is best enjoyed by the bonfire with a s'mores in hand.

500ml bottle served in a tulip. 2021 release, No other date that I see. Received from @MacMalt in NBS BIF #14.
Pours black or maybe a very dark brown, tiny head, small amount of very fine, very slow carbonation. Seemed like a fair amount of sediment started coming out at the end of the pour. Smell is a chocolate explosion with some vanilla notes that I can interpret as marshmallow. More of a milk chocolate vibe than dark chocolate.
Taste is sweet chocolate and vanilla, but with a strong roasted grain background (almost burnt toast or maybe a charred marshmallow). There also seems to be a little bit of anise lurking in the background. I don't get any clear graham cracker, but I do get a hint of cinnamon and ginger.
Mouthfeel is thick, sticky, chewy, still. Overall, this is a very nice beer.

Recent 2020 release...bottle to matching tumbler glass. First decently cool night of the season and although I do not have a fire going, the opening of this bottle seems to be a virtual equivalent experience.
LOOK: super thick black, foamy light brown head, very good retention.
AROMA: cocoa is upfront and strongest, vanilla, marshmallow, little touch of the graham cracker. Maple is also very subdued, but I can get it.
TASTE: bittersweet chocolate, graham cracker and vanilla. Little half-hints of coffee, raisin, cinnamon, red wine. marshmallow gets lost in the taste, but that really just sugar, right?
FEEL: a touch lighter than full body, silky smooth like all dark Kane beers.
Very good representation of S'Mores. Not perfect, but another great Kane beer that just begs to be sipped for Breakfast or Dessert. Bring on the Fall.

Deep brown motor oil in the glass--a total dessert beer. The ingredients all come through--strong cacao smell, graham cracker, vanilla, maple syrup--really delicious. The flavors blend well. There is not an evolution of flavors foretaste to aftertaste that would make this truly exceptional. But on a chill night, when you're in sipping mode--a nice choice.

A used motor oil black liquid plops out of the bottle, building a short pock marked tan foam that dies to nothing but a thin chain around the edge.
This is another sweeeet one that's like a hot cocoa delight with dunked graham cracker. The sweetness becomes a little sharp and cloying at times, amped up a little by the alcohol heat, but the round gooey medium body mitigates that. A fine crisp carbonation cuts through to a semi-sticky finish, bringing out a bit of marzipan marshmallow. Overall it's just super chocolatey, even feigning a gritty hot cocoa vibe at times.
I hate to say this, because even though it's good, brewing Saturday Night Lights and Lunchbox Hero with barrel aged maple syrup was a complete waste of a luxury product. Neither the maple nor any of its barrel character come through. Also, as I said with Lunchbox Hero, this is a fun stout and will satisfy the pastry hoard, but it's just not as complex or mature and refined as their more renowned bottles.

Pours pitch black with an enormous head that tastes amazing. Aroma is mainly chocolate with notes of vanilla and maple. Very sweet, tastes like adult chocolate milk. Lots of chocolate, sweet vanilla, maple is very noticeable. Thick and creamy, very rich. Overall a fantastic pastry stout.
