Look: dark brown with a big foamy head that slowly recedes to nothing.

Smell: lots of yeast, some swtto malt and toffee, some coffee.

Taste: a good brown ale, not my favorite style, nutty, creamy, touch of coffee, pretty good.

Feel: ample carbonation, medium bodied, well constructed.

Overall: again, not my favorite style, but Kane made it fresh so I had to try it. Nicely done beer, worth a try.

Could be my top brown ale. On tap at the Annex in Asbury Park. Great taps here. Fast burgers, able to get a table.

A Pours like a stout, with a 1 finger tan head, but not enough lace or retention. Ruby highlights in the pitch brown body.

S: Nutty, with breakfast highlights: coffee, malt, cereal, nuts, prunes. Porridge.

T: Roasted malts along with a nutty cream overtone. Some sweet coffee. Roasty nuttiness, with cocoa dust.

F: Medium bodied and carbonation. Pretty creamy and chewy. A roasty nut bar of a beer. Fresh.

O: As good as any Brown Ale including Smutty Nose.

On tap at the Office in Summit. Pours a deep, dark, mahogany hue with moderate frothing. Nut brown aroma with chocolate and espresso nuances. Light and drinkable.

Growler purchased 9/17/16 at brewery. Poured into Belgian ale glass.

L: Good light tan 3f head with long retention, lacing, ring, cap. Beer is a very dark brown.

S: Coffee and roasted malts mostly. Maybe some cocoa.

T: Roasted malts dominate. Some coffee. Unsweetened cocoa. Bitter chocolate. Roasty nuttiness, for lack of a better term.

O: Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Pretty chewy, if that makes any sense. Good construction.

O: This is the brown ale we've been waiting for, I think.

Picked up a growler at the Brewery yesterday and can't say enough good things about this brew and Kane in general. Pours dark black with hints of red. Nice foamy head and wonderful aroma. Extremely complex flavor that's go's on forever. I will be visiting Kane more often going forward. Outstanding brew. Jersey is about to become a go to in our craft beer world.
