Thanks to The Terminator, SadMachine, for this 500ML bottle.

Pour is that trendy light orange that makes me think of those old Anita Bryant commercials…which only reminds me just hold old I am. Citrus, tropical fruit, soaked sweet bread comes off the surface. Acceptable.

Head High - Galaxy is a versatile beer. I could see myself slugging this after a sweaty bout of gardening or sipping it out of a wine glass over a leisurely ninety minutes. Much citrus, some orange juice (from concentrate), mild honeyed malts, moderate bitterness. Bit of flowers & touch of Fat Tire-style wet bread, though not enough to ruin the experience. Nicely juicy, & drinkable enough to warrant the 12 oz. bottle that’s hit the gym.

A bit of an upgrade from the standard, very good Head High, but not so much as you’d notice if they weren’t both in your mouth simultaneously. Thoroughly enjoying this; an excellent beer.

Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle
A: Hazy straw colored with a thick foamy head. Tons of lacing
S: citrus and dankness
T: Grapefruit orange candied lime with pine and bitters
MF: crisp and clean with the perfect residual lingering taste
O: It is hard to take a great beer like Head High better. Somehow Kane has managed to do just that with this galaxy version.

Recently offered in 16.9 oz bottles. WHOO HOO! Poured into Aslin Teku glass.

L: 2F+ foamy head with good retention, lacing, and a cap/ring. Beer is an attractive hazy golden orange.

S: Superdose of Galaxy leads to strong grapefruit, orange, passionfruit, lemon peel scent. Augments the existing hop profiles. Dank pineyness as well.

T: Lots of citrus up front as in nose. Grapefruit, orange dominate. Light pilsner and crystal malts take you to a slightly bitter dank piney finish.

F: Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Very solid construction and balance the entire way.

O: A slight plus compared with regular Head High (I drank them side by side to compare). They have it on tap now, I believe, and grab if they ever bottle it again.

Beautiful peach colored hazy hue with a thick head and great lacing. Aromas are strong, fruity and pungent. Notes of ripe peaches, dank, citrus pulp, citrus rinds and light pine. Medium body, creamy, coating, soft and dry on the finish with a nice lingering bitterness on the palate. This is as good as an IPA can get. It was a bit green, as I drank it 3 days old, for my liking so I'll revisit the flavor score after it sits a bit.

Pours a very cloudy, dark golden yellow color with pineapple colored edges and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Good retention, slowly settling with streaks of soapy lacing left clinging to the glass on its way down.

Dank, uber fresh hop aroma with resinous oils, pine needle, fresh cut grass and juicy tropical/citrus fruit sweetness. Very floral with really nice grassy, earthy notes countered by luscious pineapple, grapefruit, melon and lemon pith. Very dank with kind bud, floral hop leaf, soily gras. Pale biscuit malt backbone with bread and grainy cracker. Smells great.

Full body with a blast of dank, sticky hop bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes and pale malt backbone into a slightly sweet, bone dry finish. There's a really great balance of earthy bitterness, tropical fruit and pale malt. Floral with grassy pine and sticky, resinous oils countered by prominent citrus/tropical fruit sweetness. Juicy pineapple and mango along with ruby red grapefruit, melon and orange peel. Pale malt backbone with biscuit and cracker providing balance without interfering with the dank, juicy hops. Perfectly balanced and dangerously crushable. Excellent!

Growler from Joe Canals. Pours thick and creamy into my pint glass. Big, fluffy head. Smells nice, hoppy citrus. The taste is where it really stands out. Big, super hoppy citrus bomb of an IPA. Rich, creamy, juicy. This is the perfect hoppy IPA. I love Kane and, since they don't bottle sixers or four packs, I'm happy to make them a regular growler fill. cheers!

A- Absolutely gorgeous hazy glowing orange color with a plume of tight white head that leaves tons of lacing!

S- This explodes from the glass with tropical fruit and citrus! Passion fruit at the forefront, with mango, papaya, grapefruit, and mandarin orange following. Also some nice peach notes. Just fantastic!

T- The flavor is more of the same from the aroma, with passion fruit leading the way! So incredibly juicy! Mango and peach are the secondary flavors, and it finishes with just the right touch of bitterness.

M- The mouth feel is medium with perfect carbonation, and it finishes dry with a mild bitterness that keeps you coming back for more!

O- I'd put this IPA up against any of the heavy hitters out there, and I think in a blind taste test it would win most of the time! Just an absolute gem of a beer!

growler from the brewery poured into tulip - thanks Wiid!

Pours a hazed golden color with some brighter orange hues. Fluffy white head rests on top, retaining for a while and leaving rings and patches of lacing on the glass.

Lovely nose chock full of explosive, juicy citrus aromas. Grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, and apricot all create a cocktail of hop flavor. Some notes of light bready malt along with some fruit driven sweetness.

Nicely bitter up front with a plethora of citrus flavors. Some pith and rind from the grapefruit, but the apricot and pineapple really come through well. Slightly sweet, but still really bitter on the tongue. Lighter malt backbone provides some support and sweetness with a touch of syrupy caramel. Finishes with a building dryness that wraps around the tongue.

Medium body, decent carbonation, dry and lingering on the palate. I really liked Head High, and this Galaxy dry hopped version takes the base beer to another level. I can't wait to see what's next from these guys.
