A - hazy golden yellow liquid. a huge mouse-like, snow white foam on top. great rentention, seems to last for days. a thick wall of lacing is left on the glass as it very slowly recedes.

S - aroma is soft, sort of muted. notes of honeycomb, cereal grains, and black pepper. lemons and limes.

T - grainy with notes of cracked wheat. surprisingly high bitterness. lots of citrus notes, bitter orange peel, lime leafs, lemony acid.

M - light body, mix of watery and grainy texture. super high effervescent carbonation.

O - interesting take on a saison, though i probably should have cracked it open while it was still warmer out, i feel i would have enjoyed it a bit more since it was so light. but overall it was tasty.

Batch#1 750ml Bottle poured from bottle on 9/24/2013

A- Typical Saison, hazy dark orange turning bright yellow as light hits from different angle

S- A sweet smell with a hint of Honey, but the Saison yeast is more prominent

T/M- Saisons are a hit or miss for me, but this one is really good. Drinks like a typical Saison but the added honey adds more complexity that I like in these style beers. As the beer warms the honey becomes more noticeable and makes me wanting more. Mouthfeel is moderate to low carbonation which actually works nice. Only knock on the beer is a slighty heavy body for the style.

O- I feel like a broken record when I say "Kane has done it again" but it seems like its few and far between the make a bad beer. Apiary is a beautiful representation of what a Saison is and can be. I shared this bottle with beer lovers and beer haters, and this one was enjoyed by all.
