This has to be the best bottle store for beer in the area with hundreds to choose from all over the country and beyond. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Draft selections a little limited. Small bar area.

The wife and I were waiting for a table at Poole’s Downtown Diner and we walked around the ‘hood. Painfully cool area. Tasty Beverage is just past Crank Arm Brewing, in a refurbished train depot and around the corner from the outrageous Videri chocolate company. Lots of bars and fun around.
The place is small but packed with goodies. First the bottle shop and then the bar, with some crazy drafts like Sexual Chocolate and Hebrew Jewbelation ’13. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is convivial.
The bottle shop is to die for. Too many goodies and rarities to even make sense of it all… lots of Prairie, tons of Belgian brews, a good amount of Bruery, all the North Carolina beers you can imagine and the most outrageous selection of Harvest Ale ever. Reasonable prices, cold beer, good people. I want to marry this place and move in.

Nice selection of drafts to enjoy while bottle shopping. The space is small, but laid out well. The staff could not be nicer, they were very helpful and knowledgeable. It's right beside Crank Arm Brewing, so hit that when you're in the area. Great little bottle shop that I'll definitely visit again. Cheers!

Checked out this store while visiting relatives in the area. The high rating is well-deserved. Cool location and an open, modern feel. The employees were friendly, knowledgeable and willing to give recommendations. The beers seemed well-handled. Great selection of North Carolina beers and a wide range of other selections from around the world. I saw many high-end California brewers like The Bruery represented at fair prices, so I assume the NC beers were also fairly priced. It is a fairly small place, which is the only reason I did not rate "Selection" higher. The selection they did have was well-curated and impressive.

I recently ventured here for the first time and was not disappointed. I walked in and was greeted by an incredibly vast selection of bottled beers. I decided to try one of the drafts they offered, it was difficult to pick which to try, they all seemed like they'd be very good and I had never seen or tried any of them at other places. The beer I had selected was delicious. The service was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall I had a very enjoyable time here and plan to go again.

Quality of the beer and huge selection is why I'd say this place needs to be checked out. Prices were, to me, really reasonable as well. I found a few things that sold out in my area long ago (in from VA) and were considerably cheaper - $15 for Blushing Monk vs. $18 or $19 around home for instance. Nice items on tap and a place that will let you open any bottle sold in the store to have there while you shop. I like that.
I definitely got the feeling that they were very busy even though it was not crowded at all. I felt like asking a question or two made me feel like a burden so I really just went with what I knew I wanted without asking or branching out. Just not exactly what I'm used to if I'm spending $100+ on a shop visit.
Prices were great, selection was great, service at the bar in serving beer was great. Would have been nice if someone offered to help me navigate the store a bit better - that's all.

I had stopped here several years ago when I was in town for business. I was in town again today and made a co-worker who was travelling with me stop to pick up some bottles for the trip.
The selection was well organized and extremely easy to search. More importantly, when I asked for recommendations, the guy who was helping us was awesome. He pulled 5 beers that I have not had and 3 of them so far are really good. I appreciate going to a place and having someone know their inventory well enough to provide some suggestions. Selection was very impressive especially because I was from out of town and did not have access to some of the options here. Great belgian and sours selection.

I have been to, and with, Tasty Bev since they first opened their door in the Raleigh warehouse district. Since then I pretty much have all my BA and Untappd check-ins here. The guys that owns and manage this little shop are top notch. The selection is great, and they are alway on top of the releases and trend. The greatest thing about Tasty Bev is probably all the special releases and tap take over, which announce promptly on their website and Facebook.
