App: Dark, cherry red appearance. Thick head with impeccable retention. Dark head that leaves no lacing.
Smell: Characteristic porter heaviness with obvious chili pepper nose. Blueberry almost hidden in aroma, but undoubtedly present.
Taste: Pepper savouriness, followed by smoke and malt flavors. Lots of complicated and competing flavors. Tongue happily lost in the fray. Not spicy as with some other chili beers, but has a that characteristic capsaicin warmth.
Mouth: Medium mouth with noticeable carbonation and heavy bodiedness. Well balanced overall.
