Pours a clear golden color with a white head that leaves chunks of lacing.

Smells of malt sweetness with some grass and oak.

Tastes of a solid malt backbone with some oak and hop notes. Malts lead off with some sweetness leading into a bit of bread. Fruits come next where I pick up a bit of prickly pear. A bit of wheat sharpness comes next and adds to the fruits giving way to grapefruit. Oak comes towards the end before finishing with a grassy hop note.

Mouthfeel is medium-full with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is okay, but there is too much going on. It does not feel cohesive, and is not worth the price ($13.65 for 750mL).

A: Poured into a snifter to a clear light gold topped by a finger of dense white head that fades to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells oaky, bready and a little fruity with some slight pepper notes
T: Taste is oak and fruitiness with some light peppery heat, bready malts and honey like sweetness. Slightly grassy at times as well. Swallow is more oak and light peppers but mostly fruits drizzled in honey.
M: This beer is medium in body with carbonation that is just a bit under prickly and a crisp but drying finish.
O: The American Strong Ale style is a bit of a catch all so this one has some stiff competition. The beer has a lot going on but it's just trying to do too much. I think a spotlight series would have allowed each state to shine a bit better than the amalgamation that this beer became. It's good but I wouldn't seek it out over other options.

Clear amber colored ale with a good off-white colored head. The color reminds me of copper.

Smells mildly sweet and woody with a slight fruity scent. As close as I can ID it it is peach.

Starts out mildly sweet and fruity with a taste of cedar plank to it. Fruity flar that reminds me of peach ice cream.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a mild flavored strong ale.
