Notes:
In 1989 we opened our doors with our flagship, 90 Shilling. Still a favorite today, we’re celebrating our Silver Anniversary with a double version of the recipe that started it all. We’re a little bigger now, and 180 Shilling is too, with a hearty roasted malt base balanced by subtle earthy hops and aged on oak to create notes of toffee, plum, vanilla and dried cherry. Thanks for 25 years of beers, and here’s to many more. Cheers!

Served in a snifter from the 750mL bottle.
I've got to stop and admire the head on this beer. It's a beautifully fluffy, chewy, cream-colored masterpiece. Beneath is a dark, black body with robust, aggressive carbonation. 4.25
Interestingly, the nose throws me for a loop. It's got some grape or raisin, toasted coconut and caramel. Everything seems subtle and light. 4
Taste-wise, the aromas become more pronounced and make a bit more sense, as this beer is thick and layered. Heavy caramel, dark fruit, almost grape-like at first, before transitioning to a yeasty, floral and slightly wine-like. 4
The feel on this beer is an impressive blend of creamy thickness and bubbly effervescence. There are some Belgian qualities to this. In general, it's smooth and enjoyable. 4.25
This is only gonna get better with age. Buy a couple to age.

12oz, bottled 2019; 30 year anniversary. A rigorous pour reveals a brown colored ale that is capped with a frothy tan head that leaves some lacing on the glass as it fades. Rich malty aroma: toffee, caramel, grain, leather; and earthy hops. Flavors are very bold and very rich with notes of toffee, caramel, earthy peat, leather, prune, tobacco, pepper, and earthy hops. Full body, ample carbonation, alcohol is well concealed, balanced finish. Definitely a sipper and well worth the purchase.

This is exactly what the name implies - 90 Shilling that's been doubled. It's basically a Hans and Franz version of the classic beer from my favorite brewery, and the pumped-up variety did not disappoint. One of the things I like so much about Odell is that they don't jack up the alcohol content on a beer just because they can, so when they do, you know there's a reason for it. This limited-edition beer is a very good reason.

A nice beer that I thought would've been better given Odell made it...
smooth and tasty, but lacking something I couldn't put my finger on.
I have one in the cellar for their 26th anniversary.

Worth every penny.
SOOO good. Replaces 90 Shilling for me 10-fold.
Reminds me of Dogfishead. In love.

Malt and booze balance nicely. Seems like more than a double of 90 Schilling. Awesome beer.
