Notes:
Some folks refer to the color of fool's gold as brazzle, a radiant hue much like the golden raspberry. A rare find and unique treat, these tiny nuggets are sweet and juicy. Brazzle Sour Golden Raspberry is aged in oak barrels with wild yeasts and 300 pounds of golden raspberries. Don't be fooled by the bubbly light mouthfeel and delicate raspberry sweetness. There's a subtle tartness that is not quite sour enough to make you pucker. But will prickle the back of your tongue leaving a crisp and refreshing finish.

From backlog. 750ml bottle, April 2015.
Orange-amber, with a fizzy, snow white head. Tart and refreshing, but not as raspberry forward as I was hoping for.

I picked up a bottle at 2nd St Discount liquors...$14.29.
Corked and caged bottle let out a pop when said cork was removed.
It sure is a golden coloured brew. Small layer of foam on pouring that soon dissipates to a few islands and a ring around the glass. Looks a bit on the hazy side.
Big woody notes with just as big sour notes from the raspberries. Through one nostril, I could swear that I notice some fruity sweetness. ;^)
Wow, the taste holds no undo surprises; fits the smell to a T. The fruit has such a freshness, tart and lesser..sweet, but I know the things been aging in the oak. Speaking of which, I dig the mildish, sometimes more noticeable, woody character.
Medium body? I think so. Good carbonation? Yes.
This is hella good!

Tasted as part of out first annual Sour Power Hour share. Wasn't sure how this offering was gonna hold up against offerings from Russian River, The Rare Barrel and Allagash. Pleasantly found this beer to be very worthy of being in the mix. The golden raspberry comes through as a subtle balancing note. The oak comes through much more prominently in this offering than in most sours. Gonna have to get me more of this one.
