Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Rupture was born out of our obsession with getting the most out of each and every hop. In fact, we built a machine in our brewery to incorporate a unique fresh grind process. By grinding the whole hop we “rupture” the lupulin inside – releasing the oils that give the beer its flavor. And what we grind that day we use that day. Leaving you a beer that’s fresh, aromatic, with a bright hoppy character.

L- Pours a golden beer with a frothy head. Looks the part.
S- Immediate piney and grassy hop is present. Extremely fresh and well grounded.
T- Piney, grassy and citrusy. Fresh and well fleshed out Pale Ale. Slightly sweet, very fresh. Bitterness is handled extremely well. Doesn't pack a powerful punch but the bitterness is there.
F- Light bodied, refreshing.
O- Just a really damn good Pale ale, and one of the best I've had of the style in a long time. That's really all it is. Just an extremely refreshing beer that rivals Sierra Nevada for sure.

Where is the love? Found this to be a throw back pale ale in composition, with tons of fresh dank and spicy hops to go with orange, lemon, pale malts and grass. Hops actually more explosive in taste than smell, but both rewarding. Feel is hop sharp with plenty of body to ground the resin.

12 oz can out tha sampler pack, yo

Looks great, big head with good lacing, clear, golden yellow-orange IPA color. Smell and taste are an overload on vegetal hops without being medicinal or bitter. Light and slick feel, easy to drink

I don't care what they say: this is an IPA. This isn't like pseudo sue or something similar where the line is blurred but you still know the difference. This one falls firmly in IPA territory

Bright gold color. Thick white head that persisted well. A lot of sticky lace.
Bread and citrus aroma.
Grapefruit taste that lingered throughout. Bread.
Lighter-bodid. Pleasant beer.

12 oz. can:

Pours hazed yellow with a creamy white head that leaves lacing.\u
The smell is of musty resin, grapefruit and fresh bread.

The taste is musty/dank and citric. Hop-forward but balanced by sweet bread to keep it in APA territory.

Very creamy and smooth this is a wonderful APA. Easy to drink and very enjoyable.

A six pack was given to me as a gift for installing an outdoor electrical outlet and circuit breaker for a friend.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass.

My nose instantly detects the smell of a freshly peeled grapefruit from two feet away. The color is light amber. The head dissipates fairly quickly, leaving a very scant lacing. There is nice lacing at the bottom of the glass, if you are into that sort of thing.

The mouthfeel is not sticky at all, and just a tad on the dry side. I am trying to find something to say besides grapefruit, and I decided on a hint of carambola, or starfruit, which I miss from my time of living in South Florida.

I assumed that this was an IPA, with all those hops, but it is just a pale ale, surprise! Now I see the pucker factor just isn’t very prevalent, and alcohol level is low for an American IPA. Still, I scratch my head. But it is my kind of pale ale to be sure!
