I have been drinking this IPA for a couple of years. I would forget about it ,drink a few great beers from California, then come back for another 6 pack. Man what a great beer. What balance ,aroma, those floral oils spilling in my mouth. The subtle tropics splashing in the wash between tongue and cheek. The bitters are as quiet as a child's kiss. This beer has it all ,the finish as satisfying as whipped cream on pineapple pie. Cheers!

A- Golden cider color. Lighter hue for an IPA. Low medium head. No legs. Bright IPA.

S- Malt, very little lemony citrus and low hop profile (pine).

T- Very great light IPA that doesn't have overbearing hop qualities of some IPAs. I am really enjoying this. Light malt, almost has some pilsner qualities.

M- Medium build with just the right amount of carbonation.

O- I have Myrcenary a few weeks ago and I didn't like it. It was too malty. This is top 5 IPA's that I have had. I do not claim by any means to be an aficionado of IPA.

12oz bottle into a pint glass
Best before: 5/2/14 (must be super fresh)

Thanks to fatbeats18 for sending this one over in a trade

A: Pours a crystal clear dark golden amber with 2 fingers width of slightly off white colored head which has good retention and leaves lots of lacing.

S: Huge tropical fruit and citrus notes with orange/tangerine and pineapple. Some sweet malts, juniper and pine. Wonderful.

T: Lots of piney bitterness along with some citrus rind, lemon zest and orange peel. Not really the tropical fruit notes that were on the nose but still a great hop profile. Firm malt backbone to balance things out.

M/D: Full bodied, fairly smooth, carbonation moderate maybe a touch too high for my preference, drying on the finish, drinkability is great.

O: Top notch IPA. One of the best Ive ever had.

This one had all the tasty tropical and citrus fruits I was looking for when I picked up the Myrcenary DIPA. Myrcenary has a much more pronounced malt background that sits a very balanced line, while the Odell IPA is all tasty fruits without much of the malt. Smells and tastes awesome like a bouquet of tropical fruits on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was dry and very pleasant, lightly carbonated.

Great IPA right here.
