Pour is an unusual hazy rose color. Lazy ascending bubbles along the side. Just over a finger of white crackling head dropping into the beer. Had to bump up my number for some nice glass lacing.

Smell is a bit like musty berries that were left sitting out for just a bit to long. Maybe even damp dirty laundry? Not to cool on the smell, or my sniffer is broke.

Very tart on the tongue with this one. Almost like one of those sour/tart candies the kids like. Real hard to pick out a certain fruit over another. Lots of clashing. Definitely can find the guava. Okay now got some acai and I do get a hint of salt with that tartness. Seems extremely complex on the taste, kind of like a wheres Waldo thing.

Mouth feel is nice and light. The carbonation really bounces on the tongue almost giving it a sizzle. finish is very snappy and crisp with just a bit of that lingering sour tart in the back of the throat that slowly slides down. Like the mouth feel!

This one has some winners and some detractors. At first the pour seemed a bit odd but came to fit this unusual beer. The smell just don't do it for me. The taste seems so complex as I play with that lovely sweet/tart flavor I seem to be trying to pick through it to isolate what is coming through on my radar. The mouth feel is really fun and almost playful and really helps the beer play with that sweet/tart mix. My only real slight is that odd musty smell. Anyhow Cheers go out to ODell Brewing for a very interesting beer. If you like the style I would say you should try it!

smell light and sour
BEAUTIFUL LABEL modern yet classic I love the design!
SO DAMN REFRESHING, the pink Himalayan salt was a great choice, so much GUAVA flavor at the end; Soft, sour, tart, fruity, Dry, good amount of carbonatiom and easy to drink; will be sharing with everyone. Wishing it was 5% abv.

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. Smudged but possibly (03?)/03/20 stamped on bottom of can.

Appearance - Opaque, deep pink-ruby body with a thin white head with decent, fine lacing and slight-moderate stick. 4

Smell - Soft, sour rounded body with cardboard behind. 4.

Taste - Alocoholic. Cardboard that rounds out into some sweetness. Not actually getting much of the typical sense of sournesss. 2.25

Mouthfeel - Medium to heavy bodied. On the heavy side. Astringent enough to keep it fairly clean though. 2.25

Overall - Poorly balanced with no direction. Not entirely bad but a mess. 2.25

Pours a grapefruit colour with a thin foam ring, smell is like mashed berries. First taste is of guava and acai, finish is not as salty as some sours. Tart but not sour.

L - Looks the part in its rosy-like murk and opacity. Good cling to the tulip, with lace, for a 4.5% beer.
S - Nice aroma of fruit, bruises and sour (as I like to call the whiff), a little yeast whiff
T - Falls off really quickly, barely a sour impression, no fruit to speak of, like a light smoothie with no taste really. Huh.
F - Decent carbonation, but drinks like a thick LaCroix seltzer.
O - Meh, have had better from Odell.

12 oz can, dated 5/12/19. Pours hazy peachy pink with a medium fizzy light pink head that quickly goes to a light dusting that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is floral fruit with some lactic sour.

The flavor is sweet wheat malt and fruit with a bit of a light sour tartness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation and pretty watery.

Overall, a decent light fruity sour.

Pours an effervescent pink-ish amber with some floaties & a thumb of pinkish colored head.
Minimal head retention & lacing

S: Tart berries & guava late

T: Sweet cherry. slightly tart marionberry, dryness & guava up front. Tart guava, slightly sweet cherry & blueberry. Finishes with a little guava & berry sweetness

MF: Medium body, ever, so slight carbonation, becomes a little watery as it warms

Easy to to drink, but not pronounced enough in flavors or sourness to really recommend, reminds me of a kid's drink from a pouch almost

Draft. Hazy, sort of mauvey pink red with shorter head. Nice aromas, tart with fruit candy, berry, sweet floral, citrus, backed by some grain. Kind of hard to pin down, but smells tasty. The grainy malt is the backbone of the flavor, with the fruit from the aroma serving as a moderately strong accent. Mildly tart, slightly sweet. Medium mouthfeel. Medium carbonation.

Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed pinkish colored brew with a one finger head of off white foam. The head fades rather fast to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a some sour cherry and apple smells as well as some grainy aromas. Along with those smells comes some berry and melon aromas and a hint of grass and yeast.
Taste – The taste begins with a light grainy taste that has a light sourness of a sour harvest fruits and some tart berries. Along with these flavors comes some sweeter berry fruit tastes that has some light cherry. Toward the end of the taste some yeast and a little more tartness of apple and sour lemon come to the tongue, leaving one with a fruity and lightly soured taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew was light and crisp with a carbonation that is average. For the fruit and lighter sour tastes the feel was great and makes it a very easy drinking beer.
Overall – Just as the name would suggest, this is an easy sippin brew. Lightly soured, fruity, and crisp.

12oz can best by 10-13-19 (opened 7-4-19).
Opaque pink beer topped with a 1/4" off white pink tinged head. Retains as a thin cap, light lace.
Smells like fresh fruit, strawberries, guava, passion fruit, etc...really appealing nose, like a smoothie.
Same fruit flavors, fresh and ripe...lively and zesty with a tart/sour finish that feels like it is just as it should be.
Light to medium bodied with a zingy freshness, some acidity and fantastic fruit flavor.
Very nice, wasn't sure what to expect but I wasn't expecting something I liked this much.

This is what I would compare to be the pink lemonade of beer. It pours out pink and beautiful. It has a very sour beginning to it that you get more comfortable with as you sip. One of my favorites! Cheers!

"Best by 6/3/19"; drank 6/7/19 (oops!) @ the Yarchives.

Opaque pink appearance.

A violent pour yielded a nice, noisy white head which quickly dissipated; almost no lace.

Passionfruit, honeyed wheat & strawberry notes in the nose.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Passionfruit & mild honeyed wheat flavors up front; strawberry & dry sea salt notes on the finish.

Sweet, dry & sour...flavorful, but overall a bit much. Not one I'll seek out again.

LOOKS: Pink Grapefruit juice with a finger of creamy foam. Nice lacing down the glass.
AROMA: The only thing I would have guessed, blind, about this brew is the salt content. Tart. I probably would have said grapefruit added. It does have a very unique smell that is fruity and maybe a bit fleshy.
TASTE: Again, fleshy and very fruity. Salt is there for sure. Had I not read the can description, I might have added, 'something tropical.' Nothing grapefruit about the flavor.
FEEL: Thin body, but, not like a 'lite' beer. Dries up slightly on back end. About average carbonation. Pour it very slowly if you want a big fizzy brew.

09/22/19 expiration. Drank 5/4/19.
Hard pour into 12 oz snifter. Thick white disappears quickly.
Dark ruby grapefruit hazey color.
Smell is like the style. Sour. Not appealing to me.
Taste is a watery slightly sour grapefruity candy with a dry finish.
Light carbonation gives a slight mouth feel.
Disclosure: This was part of a variety pac from Odell. Sours are not my fav but thought I would give it a try. Please don’t use this review as a benchmark. I will try again with my remaining beers.

Definitely a niche beer, but that niche is growing, so Odell gave it a whirl. I got lots of guava but not much of the other flavors listed in the description. I did get the salt and the sour flavors to balance out the fruit, however. If you like reddish beers with sour notes, this one will work for you. I'm still not quite there on this style, but this one is a good representation of it in any case.

Appearance: pours a completely cloudy and opaque reddish pink color with minimal head.
Aroma: Strong aroma of guava, papaya, and tart berry. Some red wine too.
Taste: Strong elderberry. Very bitter. Followed by tart fruit. It is salty too. Between the bitterness, tartness, and salt, it's somewhat difficult to appreciate or identify the fruit flavor. Much easier in the nose.
Feel: Minimal to no carbonation. Drinks flat like juice. Moderately sweet. A little disappointing, as I think it could benefit from some carbonation.

Overall: Not overly impressed by this sour. The flavors are interesting, but the bitterness and tartness outbalance the flavor. Plus, it drinks completely flat. +1 for the interesting fruit flavor combination, but otherwise I won't be returning to this one.

Beautiful pink-peach color. Very funky, bright, and fruit aromas. Wonderful nose. Flavor profile is extremely mild, with grapefruit, guava, and a faint salinity, but extremely dry and crisp finish.

Poured from a can into a tall fluted glass. Cloudy pink color. Nice white head initially which dissipates to nothing quickly, no lacing. Pleasant fruit smell and taste. Flavors of raspberry, strawberry, and lime.

Not something I will buy again.

12 oz can best by 7/30/19 poured into wide mouthed glass.

Deep reddish berry color with a bubble gum pink head of 2 fingers, receding to 1.

Lots of funk and Himalayan sea salt on the nose. Some raspberry and other funky berry. Strong guava. Slight apples and manure.

Flavor brings a nice tart, funky berry flavor with hints of raspberry, green apple, yeast funk, bread, and straw. The bready graininess increases on the finish and after the swallow.

Feel is crisp and refreshing, with a bready, slightly starchy finish but not overly so.

Overall, an enjoyable, simple, unique beer that I may just go back for more of. I like it quite a bit.

i have been seeing this around town a lot lately over the past few months, and have been drying to try it in my beer absence. i had no idea there was fruit in it, acai? come on, everyone knows thats a scam, has no unique flavor, and inflates the prices of things right? maybe not, but in my experience that is certainly the case, and aside from a little pink color, it doesnt seem to add a whole lot to this one, almost a raspberry element in the nose, maybe some hibiscus, it seems like a beer trying to be tropical and flavored, which is a shame to me, because the mixed fermentation part of this is attractive, the part that sells me on it in the first place. however, i think it might be a better beer with just the yeast elements and this high mineral salt, iron rich and adding some depth and density to the wheat base, but lightened up a lot by the grapefruity and citrus forward sourness, as well as the delicate floral springy funk of the brett. its a nice saison without the guava and such, it makes great sense, cool yeast and a great mouthfeel. odell is awesome, but they have let me down at times in this wild(ish) category, and i had higher hopes for this. cool job with the fermentation, weird choices with the additives, good for me, but not outstanding...

This beer pours a cloudy pink with a minimal head. The aroma features funky sourness, cheese rind, topical fruit, fruit skin, and citrus flesh. The flavor is suitably tart, with a melange of tropical fruit, and a moderate amount of funk. The mouthfeel is very light with fuzzy carbonation. Overall this is a lovely little fruited sour, and so pleasing that it is neither citrus nor berry flavored, plus there is just enough funk to make it interesting.

Poured from a single serve can into a tulip.

Pours a cloudy pink with a two-finger fizzy fast-subsiding head but good lacing.

The aroma is shaded more sweet than expected, but with good tartness. Guava, brine, and yeast aromas predominate, although the aroma is subdued.

The flavor follows the nose and is pretty sweet for the style. However, the yeast and brine notes help balance this out. The salty flavor is actually a welcome counterpoint in this brew. As the brew warms, a background metallic aftertaste starts to develop.

The mouthfeel is rather flat and unremarkable. I wouldn't call it "watery" but it feels thin.

Overall a decent wild ale but a pretty sweet one. That said, the salty brininess is nice.

12oz can, snifter glass. Slightly cloudy reddish body, slight orange/copper hue, one finger white head, fair retention, no lacing. Smell is mildly ripened tropical fruit, light wheat, touch of lemon, trace leather, touch of bread. More of a passion fruit tartness distinguishes itself on the palate, relatively simple funky ripe tropical fruit, light acetic acidity, a bit of perhaps floral notes as well, very light. Lighter medium body, refreshing, reasonably accessible on the palate.
