12 oz. Can

A bright and peachy look, amber and gold color with a low-lying white foam cap, spreads out fast, decent coverage with a bit of lacing.

The scent of dense hop oils, hop resin, pine, evergreen needles, sweet and grainy amber malt pops right out. Slightly boozy, hot citrus and sweet pineapple round it out.

The flavor is all about the resinous, oily, piney side of the hops. Tart, tangy, earthy, hop oils and plenty of bitterness. An oily, medium bodied feel and texture. The malt is pretty hefty with signs of summer field grains, amber sweetness and crispy edges. The 9.2 % abv is pretty boozy with a heat tingle. Citrus rind and grassy earthy undertones finish it off. I like the grassy and green hop flavor that lingers.

A really nice West coast beastie ipa. Serious bitter punch.

3 week old can.

This one pours a slightly hazy golden orange, with a foamy and creamy looking head, and a lot of lacing.

This one smells absolutely fantastic, with rich and resinous pine, candied grapefruit, fresh picked flowers, cut grass, tangerine, and pineapple.

This beer absolutely floored me. It's everything I want in a double IPA. Heavy and soft at the same time, with a resinous and sizzling piney bitterness, balanced by a huge juicy hop explosion- all sorts of grapefruit, pineapple, and tangerine, with a herbal character that was unexpected as well. There's just a touch of malt to prop everything up.

The body on this is perfect, crisp, but surprisingly creamy, with a soft level of carbonation. There's absolutely no booziness here, I don't know how they did it.

This feels like a perfect hybrid of each coast's style of IPA here. I can't find much wrong with this one.

Incredibly smooth for DIPA. Full flavor, yet lacks any overly bitter bite in the beginning, middle or end, or afterward. Couldn't feel the higher alcohol content, which is unusual for a DIPA. Bought it in Denver, and am pining for it in NJ. Probably the best DIPA I've had in many years.

My ideal beer.

Pours golden with a thin head. Smells strongly of hops and alcohol. Very smooth for the high alcohol content and for such a strong taste. Has quite a bite to it! The taste is extremely hop forward and does not need a complex profile to deliver it's great taste.

This beer is an ideal double IPA in every way.

Poured from a can into a pub glass.

Pours a pleasing golden color with a spectacular frothy head with plenty of staying power and lacing.

The nose is a great blend of tropical fruit (pineapple) and citrus (grapefruit) with a hint of evergreen/resin.

The flavor follows the nose, with great juicy grapefruit and sprucey flavors and just a hint of booze.

The feel is a touch thin, but very crisp and refreshing. The ABV is very well hidden.]

An excellent DIPA.

LOOKS: A fairly clear golden to light amber, with a finger of white head that sticks around. Fair amount of lacing down the glass.
AROMA: Tropical-like hops, an underlying almost honey like sweetness, and lightly toasted malt.
TASTE: The floral sweetness and the tropical notes out front, and a nice malty back bone.
FEEL: Full body, average carbonation, dry on the finish, but, has a touch of stickiness, too.
OVERALL: Very nice DIPA that I will have more of.

This brew, from a twelve ounce can, is a hazy honey-gold color. The head is one full finger, white, and leaves wonderful lace. The aroma is hoppy, with pine and citrus notes, pale malt, and a lot of booze in the flavor. The taste is sweet, with plenty of bitterness...lots of malt flavor, along with a citric hop flavor and some booze. Full in body. Nice.

Pours a hazy golden color with minimal head. Aroma of tropical fruit, mango, citrus. Solid flavor, I like the big malt backbone that balanced out the modest hop profile. Very good carbonation. This fits in with so many other DIPA's on the shelf, a good go-to but I wouldn't go searching for it.
