Poured from the bottle into my tulip glass...

Nice hazy orange color with excellent sticky lace retention throughout my glass. The aroma has big notes of orange zest with fresh cut grass closely following. Taste is largely grapefruit with enough of a malty backbone to balance out the citrus flavors. There's a caramel finish. The mouthfeel is a medium body with mild carbonation. It's got a piney, caramel bite as it hits the palate.

Overall, this is a great, unique DIPA. I dont usually prefer the malt/caramel heavy IPA/DIPAs but this has enough citrus characteristics to properly balance this out and elevate it to an outstanding brew.

Chill hazed amber colored ale with a good sized yellowish white colored head.

Smells hoppy and malty with the scent of mostly cedar wood. There is a lesser scent of tobacco leaf to this.

Starts out mildly sweet with a distinct caramel flavor. Strong tea and cedar plank.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall really more malty than hoppy it is quite mild flavored for the style.

Pours amber/honey color with thick foamy head and excellent lacing. Aroma is citrusy but not very overpowering. Hard to discern, even in a tulip. You can smell the alcohol, though. Taste is very malty, very little hops. Smooth, boozy taste. Very little aftertaste. Good beer but not usually what I am looking for. Excellent for a cold night by a fire, sipping.
