A: Hazy golden body with white head, good lace and head retention.
S: Citrus, floral and malt aromas make for a balanced nose.
T: The nose leads to a well-balanced blending of flavors from the caramel, toffee malt backbone and moderate hop profile.
M: Clean dry finish. Balanced.
O: Quite good and tasty.

A3.75 a golden clean pour with barely any head.
S4.25 west coast soapy/pine hops, honey like scent.
T4.25 very hop forward but not in a bad way. Lots of pine and grapefruit, bready backbone.
M4 medium body, moderate carbonation, sticky feel with nice amounts of lacing
O4 a solid dipa. Great in flavor and smell, but was shocke at the lack of head. Nice spicyness from the hops pair perfectly with these wings.

A- Outstanding. Dark hue for a DIPA. Thin lacing medium legs with little remaining head. Color could pass as a golden sour.

S- Crazy malty. Shit, this is one of those malty DIPAs. Some people love them, some don't so much. I don't really like DIPA's. Pine, and a lot of malt.

T- Yup, tastes like 1/3 the strength of a 120 min. Crazy malty DIPA.

M- Pretty standard, maybe a bit better M than the norm.

O- I am a shitty person to rate DIPA's, but I try (as you shake your head yes then no). I am just not into malty DIPA's. I need citrus

Myrcenary pours a deep copper/red that looks absolutely delicious. Earthy floral smell with some of that cattiness too. Some like it but I find that an undesirable byproduct of some kinds of hops. Taste much the same as the nose but has a caramel sweetness to it. Can really taste the malt backing, it's quite good. Hops take the background to a very well balanced sweet malt experience. Mouthfeel is that of the beer itself, very balanced. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Not too dry either which I like.

Not tremendously complex, but a very balanced enjoyable DIPA that focuses on the malt as well as the hops.

12oz bottle, best by 4/29/2014. Thanks Felix at Steve's for generously giving me this one. Poured into an O'so snifter today, 1/26/2014.

App- Pours a beautiful light copper body, nice thick one finger white head with great retention, some lacing

Smell- Not strong. Catty, pine, resin. Bread. Dominated by the cattiness and to an extent, the pine.

Flavour- Sweet and bready, which is a big player here. Balanced by the bitter resin, pine. Quite balanced but not complex.

Mouthfeel- Medium bodied, perfect carbonation, nice resinous feel on the backend that is fairly bitter.

Overall- Good DIPA, very resinous and balanced but otherwise nothing mindblowing compared to the likes of Heady and Abrasive, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Appearance: Bright orange color. Beer has a clean, transparent look. Creamy fluffy white head of about a finger and a half on the pour and was present while drinking. Above average active carbonation in the glass.

Smell: Biting pine and resin bitterness on the front. Some fruity hop tones are picked up but the pine bitterness is certainly the biggest player. A sweet malt backbone provides a good base for this aroma.

Taste: The front is a malty, caramel, molasses sweetness. Hop presence is subtle, much less bitter then the aroma would make you think. Some accents of pine, resin, medium bodied fruits, and lemon. Biggest note is how balanced the flavor is.

Mouthfeel: Balanced as well. Malt backbone provides a creamy easy drinking experience while the hop tones continue to buzz on the palate throughout drinking.

Overall: An outstandingly drinkable DIPA. Balanced is the biggest key here. Hop tones are kept in check with plenty of hops to pull you in.
