Medium orange color; murky as hell.
Frothy off-white head; nice lacing throughout.
Faint caramel malt nose; not much to whiff on.
Thin mouthfeel, bordering on medium.
Pretty tasteless; hop bite on the back end.
This isn't bad, per se, just instantly forgettable. Can't say I'm likely to reach for another...

Bottle poured into a BarrelHouse Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours golden orange amber with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a light layer and laces well.
S: Light toasty biscuity bready malt, floral, slight earthy and herbal tones, and a touch of toffee sweetness.
T: Mildly toasty bready malt, floral, earthy slightly herbal notes, and a touch of toffee sweetness.
M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp.
O: Drinks almost like a lager. I had to take a step back and not rate this as a hop head expecting something closer to a red IPA which seems to be where a lot of ambers are these days. For a more old school style straight forward amber it's quite nice. Would be a great fall beer for raking leaves.

Great looking beer poured into Odell pint glass. Nice lacing on the glass. Very drinkable not too bitter and slight taste of caramel. Great summer beer to sit down and drink a few down.

Lovely easy drinking, The color of weak tea, small head, little retention. Smells of malty brown sugar, taste follows with a light hop kick. Light feel, a go-to beer when I'm alcohol/Belgian sugar/hop fatigued.

L: brilliant copper amber under a thin white frothy foam cap with poor retention.
S: biscuit and mild citrus aromas. The aromas are malt forward with the hops medium low to low.
T: starts slightly sweet with traces of honey, some light caramel notes, biscuit and bread crumb. The malt flavors are medium and the hops flavors are medium low. Honey biscuit is the dominant flavor but it is seasoned with medium low hop citrus.
F: medium to medium light bodied with medium high carbonation.
O: very nice, flavorful, easy to drink amber ale

A much lighter but more flavorful version of the standard amber. It seems as though brewers tend to make extreme, aggressively-hopped ambers. this take on the style is better in my opinion. It has some really nice spicy and savory flavors.
