Love when beer tastes exactly as advertised, tasted like drinking a Hershey bar, without being overly sweet on the tongue and wasn't to heavy, finished creamy yet also pretty carbonated, drank like a chocolate soda with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Really different and pretty delicious. big fan.

The appearance was a pure dark brown closer to black color. One finger off white foamy head tries to cling but slides for the most part. The smell was a super nice arrangement of bitter coffee to smooth milk chocolate. The taste was mainly sweet milk chocolate enticing the taste buds to indulge in more of this luscious brew. Light chocolate to coffee aftertaste leading to a nice somewhat dry finish. On the palate, it sat about a medium on the body, not that sessionable but I wasn’t expecting it to be considering the style. Carbonated exactly how a milk sweet Stout should be. It has one the smoothest and creaminest mouthfuls one could ever ask for from a milk sweet stout. Overall, very nicely done milk/sweet stout.

Picked up at Home Brew Stuff yesterday for about $3... Poured into my slim tulip.. Short lasting brown head atop an expected black brew... very minor lacing.

Nose is Tootsie rolls.. smells a bit artificial IMO... milk chocolate and underlying stout qualities..

Flavor is maybe a tad better.. still the artificial chocolate qualities are my big bitch.. tastes like extract with some background cocoa.. honestly not getting anything on the palate that resembles a stout..

Body is a bit bigger than medium, carbonation is on the lighter side of medium and makes for a smooth mouthfeel..

Not really digging this one at all.. okay, but not good... more of a novelty for somebody that doesn't really like beer, "Hey, try this one. It is a 'Chocolate Milk Stout and will get you drunk!'" I am probably being a little harsh, but even for $3 I will never buy it again.

Pours a midnight black color with no a soft tan head. Some legs cling to the edge and good retention through the whole tasting.

The smell is sweet. Big coco notes really emphasize the chocolate notes. More of a milky chocolate as compared to a malty chocolate. Some minor yeast esters but for the most part very clean.

The taste is sweet upfront and really lingers but changes. Upfront more of a lactos note but as you get into the beer chnages to a more oatmeal esk finish. Coco and chocolate notes really come out. Some astringency but places second to the coco notes. The esters come out more and rose peddles into the finish. Some herbal finishes and a touch earthy hops.

The body is sweet. To me its too sweet. Would have liked it toned down but that is part of the appeal. There is a oatmeal like texture as well. Carbonation is soft which helps the milky feel linger. Overall nice chocolate notes but could use some more stout characters.

Well, I am going to part company with many reviewers on this stout. 1st this brew somewhat lives up to its title. However, I didn't like the taste at the finish line. It delivers a metallic sour flavor that reminds me more of a bitter chocolate than a chocolate milk. Also we should compare this to other chocolate stouts. I suggest that the Wells' Young Double Chocolate, Samuel Smith' Organic Chocolate Stout, and Rogue's Chocolate Stout just cream this one.

The look and aroma are OK. But the smoothness is not silky smooth as a chocolate milk stout should be. For example, Youngs Dble Chocolate stout is world class and smooth. Silky smooth. In comparison then this stout must drop below average. My rec is not to buy a 6 when checking this toilet stew out. Get a cheaper single. Otherwise your drain is gonna get drunk on some shitty brew. Come on Odell you're better than this.

Pair this with the cd Isaac Hayes Chocolate Chip. Then move on.

Pours pitch black with a finger width foamy head. Retention and lacing are both good. Has a more faint aroma than most stouts. More roasted malts with hints of coffee and some chocolate. Has a very silky smooth taste with roasted malts up front. From there, if is almost like milk chocolate is moving along your tongue. There is mild coffee bitterness at the end. More heavy bodied with moderate carbonation. It is a very enjoyable beer.
