The appearance was a pure dark brown closer to black color. One finger off white foamy head tries to cling but slides for the most part. The smell was a super nice arrangement of bitter coffee to smooth milk chocolate. The taste was mainly sweet milk chocolate enticing the taste buds to indulge in more of this luscious brew. Light chocolate to coffee aftertaste leading to a nice somewhat dry finish. On the palate, it sat about a medium on the body, not that sessionable but I wasn’t expecting it to be considering the style. Carbonated exactly how a milk sweet Stout should be. It has one the smoothest and creaminest mouthfuls one could ever ask for from a milk sweet stout. Overall, very nicely done milk/sweet stout.

Love when beer tastes exactly as advertised, tasted like drinking a Hershey bar, without being overly sweet on the tongue and wasn't to heavy, finished creamy yet also pretty carbonated, drank like a chocolate soda with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Really different and pretty delicious. big fan.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with a smallish fizzy brown head that quickly goes to a thin film.
The aroma is sweet lactic chocolate, some coffee and some bitterness from the roast.
The flavor is sweet lactic chocolate with some roast. It's a little acidic with some vegetal notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, an OK milk stout with a few off notes. Not as sweet as I thought it would be. A bit pricey at $10 per 4 pack.

Bottle into quasi-tulip glass
Appearance: Opaque deep brown, almost black. Unimpressive, lacy, fine head. Head improves as it rests, very resilient
Smell: Milk stout! Sweet, sort of syrupy smell
Taste: Wow. Not complex, but a wallop of light chocolate with pleasant milky vanilla backbone. No chocolate bitterness at all. Is this beer hopped at all?
Mouthfeel: Like very decent chocolate, melting in the mouth. Resilient coating.
Aftertaste: Mild but slightly warming and pleasant.
My take: A sweet and excellent beer. Not overpowering enough to make a bad day great, but the perfect compliment to other quiet joys. This beer makes me happy.

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.
LOOK: Black, thin but sticky tan lacing
SMELL: Roasty grain, fine chocolate, rose water, mild coffee, prunes, alcohol, light molasses
TASTE: Creamy, silky smooth, thick bodied, milky, subtle roastiness, chocolate throughout, modest hopping, big juicy kiss of alcohol, date sugar, mild spice, dark berries, faint orange peel, sweet creamy finish
This is a big brew, 12oz bottle took a while to conquer though I did not complain once. Seek this one out for something completely different.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Imperial Pint.
Appearance: Brownish-black with thin tan head and spotty lacing.
Smell: Strong roasted aroma, with definite chocolate, some cream, and touches of coffee and dark fruit.
Taste: Strong milk chocolate taste, semi-sweet, with sharper roasted layers underneath. There are light dark fruit flourishes, and a very minor coffee bite at the end. Some chocolate and cream lingers.
Feel: Medium-full body that is quite creamy and smooth, with low carbonation. Finish is just slightly drying.
Overall: This is exactly as advertised - a chocolate milk stout. Quite enjoyable, but I would like a little more bite and/or dryness.
