On tap from the source

A – Amber with a thin and sticky white head.

S – Bitter, strong, and pungent. Strong yeasty esters abound. Quite complex.

T – Complex again, a lot going on, a bit of a woody, earthy undertone takes over this one.

M – Quite dry, not cloying or sticky like some stronger ales can be. Nice in this department.

O – Give them full marks for trying their hand at a stronger ale, this one would really warm you up on a cold day. Though sitting outside on their patio drinking this one in the 80º heat probably wasn't the best venue for it. Still, thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Appearance is a deep gold with a rim of white head. Nose is spicey with light banana and clove followed by grape. Taste is mild with banana, clove, bubblegum, and yeast. Mouthfeel is rather light with light carbonation. Overall, abv is very well hidden, but so is the taste and the true Belgian character.
