Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.30%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
The disproportionate late addition hopping truly expresses the beauty and diversity of flavors that can be extracted from Chinook, one of our favorite hops. Grapefruit and pine are backed up with earthy, grassy notes and a very light malt sweetness. The aroma suggests IPA but the ABV and drinkability make this an all day San Diego beer.

Rich and luscious for a moderate alcohol brew. On tap at Fifty Seven Degrees.

Clear amber in the pint shaker with a nice foam to start. Leaves rings of your progress down the pint. Flowery nose. Warm and spritzy mouthfeel. Flavor has a little bitter sage with the hops. Malt is just perceptibly sweet, but adds a pleasant body. Take a big mouthful and it's a grainy, bitterish treat.

This one is hard to pin down, but it has that classic Pale Ale blend of a lighter body, a dose of malt, and just enough hops to the foreground. Piney taste with some of the citrus peel. A little orange in the flavors along with a long bitter aftertaste that just makes you want another gulp.

Tap at Monkey Paw. Light gold in color. Aroma is pine and a blend of orange, mango, and tangerine. Slightly floral. Light crackery malt. Juicy orange and tangerine with a firm moderate bitterness. Dry. No alcohol. Nice pale ale.
