Visited with the wife on a Thursday night. The place was packed, but we got seated at a rooftop table almost immediately. Service was great - very attentive and personable. Beer selection was fairly extensive - I had a couple of their IPAs, both of which were excellent. Would highly recommend a visit!

Located center city on the northern edge, this is a large restaurant with enough room for banquet facilities (and bus tours!). But don't let that fool you, it is primarily a brew pub. It's just big and popular.

During the warmer months, there are two outdoor decks. The first time we came by, on a Sunday, there was a wait of over an hour to get ANY seat. We came back for Wednesday lunch and were able to get a table right away. The vibe is mellow but efficient.

The food took a while to show up but was decent pub fare.

The beer was great. I went in at end of the season so the bar was crowded. Looks like they can host quite a party during the peak of the summer! The beer selection was pretty good for a brewery that is for the most part pretty isolated. The food was good... the Dubble on the Tundra was excellent!!

Stopped here four times on a five night stay in Denali. Great location that is a little less busy than the crowds down in Glitter Gulch. Has the look and feel of a brewery that is geared towards the outdoors..a bit rustic and modern. Lots of posters of the Kantishna Music Fest dot the walls and there is a great outdoor space. Service was always friendly and prompt despite being really packed. The food was good, not great, but way better than anything else in the area. I had the schnitzel, shrimp tacos, and ribs. All were solid. The beer ranged from good to great and had a great variety. Mosiac pale ale and their smoked beer were my favorites, but the diversity of lagers and ales is impressive. There is a place in the back of the restaurant that you can buy bottles of their beer as well as merchandise. be sure to check out that as well as the front cooler as they did contain different selections. Well worth a stop if you are in the area.

Terrific place to be after a day on the Nanena River. Good selection of local beer, antler lamps , fireplace and stuffed animal decorations throughout.

Stopped here on our way back to Fairbanks from a day trip to Denali. All 3 of us enjoyed the food, and the 2 beers I had were quite good. Service was excellent and I found out that my server and I shared a common bond as veterans of the silent service. There's a cool fire pit, oh and excellent desserts. All in all a gem in a little (pop. 1080 or so) far off place in the great North.

I did a 2 week brewery tour/fishing trip in Alaska last summer and this was easily my favorite brewery that we visited. Great vibe, excellent food and beer. Well worth the drive to Healy.

From the outside, you would never realize what a gem this place is. Inside is warm, cozy, and friendly with good food, a nice fire pit, and great beer. The service was excellent and they even showed us through the brewery itself. We went there both nights we were staying at Denali.

Went to Denali park on a trip and was staying at the park hotel down the road. We saw the brewery on our way and decided to go in and try it out. What we didn't know was that it was their Augtoberfest celebration. They had well over 10 styles of German beer on tap, a lively dining area and live music playing. It felt very homey and was one of the highlights of my trip.

Just down the road from the Primrose B&B where we are staying during our Denali vacation. Read good things about the brewery on Yelp, and it was also highly recommended by our B&B hostess, so off we went.

No disappointment here. Nice beer selection, and both we tried (the two stouts) were really good (separate reviews posted on those).

Great atmosphere. TV in the bar even had my home team LA Galaxy battling live this evening. And while we had our fill of food and beer, was very impressed by the whisky selection. May likely be back again before we head back home.

Highly recommended.

I hit up 49th State on my way to and from the Kenai Peninsula just after the 4th of July. At the time they only had one of their brews on tap, which was a solid IPA. The other taps were a mix of Alaska breweries, and a few interesting imports. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is amazing, and it made me wish I'd have been there for their 4th party, the front patio/beergarden section is quite nice.

The food I had was good, especially the very tasty soft pretzel. While not beer-related, they also have possibly the most expansive whiskey selection that I've ever seen.

The pricing is definitely reasonable for Alaska. I'll make it a point to stop through for a pint whenever I'm driving past from here on out.

Visited this on my way to the park from Fairbanks one morning.

I'd heard that in the past they had been out of their own beer (not through this site, but its been verified by the other reviewer) but this time they had an on-site blonde. 5.6% and it was delicious. Other beers included Avery, Alaskan, Wiehenstephaner, Unibroue, Stone, Kassiks, and Deschutes. I had time to drink to drink local so I had the blonde and Kassiks' Brown, plus an order of cheese curds. Great drinks, and really good food, which was a little surprising! The price was right, considering Glitter Gulch right down the road is quite pricey. The tap list looked great considering most places in Fairbanks only have Alaskan and Deschutes on draft. My only qualm was that it took 15 minutes for me to get my check after requesting it, with only a handful of people at the bar probably shouldn't be that long.

If you are looking for beer, music, or food in Denali, this is worth the 10 minute drive.

Visited for dinner and beers, during our trip to Denali National Park, it's about 10 miles or so north of the park entrance on the Parks Highway.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, as we were initially worried when the muddy parking lot was lined with some RV's in disrepair, but I guess the property also is an RV park. The building itself sits back a bit and they have an outdoor area with a small music stage and outdoor bar.

Inside, the bar runs along the wall to the right, and the rest of the area is filled with tightly grouped tables, they packed in as many as possible. They had a cool fireplace in what was maybe an old giant brew kettle, surrounded by a drink/food counter and bar chairs. Big chalkboard on the wall with the beer listings.

Ironically, even though they are a brewpub, they were out of their own beer. However, they had at least a dozen taps of some high quality Alaskan and West Coast craft beer. No taps wasted on BMC swill, only in bottles. For the non-beer drinkers, they had a full bar.

The food was great, and came in huge portions. Our table had Veggie Tacos, Reindeer and Buffalo sausage, Buffalo Meatloaf, and pulled pork. Everyone was impressed.

Our server was friendly and attentive enough, and prices seemed in line for rural Alaska.
