Traded for this ages ago but not sure when as there wasn't anything legible written on the bottom of the can. I've had a few of Burley Oak's beers in the Other Half line over the years but this was the first one that I was able to pour out and review here at home. Sure, if you like apricot and raspberry, then this would be up your alley, but it felt just a bit too gimmicky for me to rate any higher. On a summer night such as this, I found it refreshing as it easily hit the spot...

As expected, the hue of this beer was a blood orange mix of the apricot and raspberry that was quite muted in appearance. A boisterous, lively topping of bubbles capped this off but it settled just as fast as I poured it out of the can! That was a indicator of the lacing, which was completely nonexistent as I sipped this, and the sediment at the bottom of the liquid was also nearly impossible to detect. Tart and syrupy, the nose had fruit in it with mild hints of lactose sweetness as well as the taste picked up from where that left off as this felt quite fresh and lively throughout! Nicely slick and a bit too thick for me, this was a bit too thick but certainly enjoyable enough down to the last sip!

The low amount of alcohol in this only added to this beer's ease of enjoyment as it didn't take long for me to finish this off. Like the Milkshake beers from Tired Hands, any of the J.R.E.A.M. offerings from Burley Oak should almost be placed into a category of it's own. If you like Wild Ales that equally could be considered a Fruit / Vegetable beer, then seek this out! This was a lot of fun to have...
