Had it on release night and then bought some bottles to try at home. Some lacing, very good to smell, sweet aftertaste. Almost caramelized. Very satisfying full body. Definitely rum infused. Very solid and very very good beer.

Nice overall pumpkin flavor with a mixture of Apple sauce, anise, nutmeg and rum. It's no Avery Rumpkin, but it's very nicely done and worth drinking again.

The beer pours a fairly light and white head that dissipates quickly while the beer itself is a clear palish medium amber. The beer has a very nice copper hue that is fairly appealing and isn't as dark as other pumpkin ales.

The smell is pretty good with strong pumpkin notes and spices as well as a light sugary smell. The spices include bits of cinnamon and clove, which are both helped along by the rum that gives it a nice sweet brown sugar smell. The smell is extremely well balanced and well crafted to the point where the notes do not compete with each other but cooperate.

The taste is pretty good with a nice balance to it. In addition to the notes found in the smell, the beer also has a slighty bitter hop finish to it. The rum also comes out a bit stronger.

The feel is pretty good. The rum gives the beer a very smooth feel and the light carbonation gives a bit more texture to distinguish it from rum. The beer has a medium body but it does not feel like it.

Overall, a pretty good beer. This one was definitely worth the price of admission and I highly recommend it. The beer isn't overly heavy or pumpkiny or spicey, which is what you might find in other beers. This seems to be a very nicely balanced beer that you can get behind.

Big, white foamy head with some obligatory lacing atop this clear orange beer.

Nose is massively spiced, and to be honest, if this were a blind "sniffing", I could almost be convinced that this is a beer of Belgian origin until the pumpkin finally punches through. Not getting even a hint of rum.

Taste does have rum, and immediately so as it takes center stage. The pumpkin and spice interplay comes off buried beneath astringency.

Overall, not a great beer. Hot, but not in a great way. I'd almost say it would work well aged but I have no idea if the spice would drop off or not. If it did, this would just turn messier.
