Appearance: Deep amber in color, ruby highlights display before a very strong light. A massive, fine-bubbled tan head crowns the body. A thick sheet of unbroken lacing adorns the glass walls.
Aroma: Massive boozy notes open the aroma; there are strong notes of wood and bourbon, as well. Brown sugar and vinous alcohol are prominent, as well. A wisp of vanilla is present, as is a decent cinnamon presence.
Taste: Opens with an abundance of sweet malt and brown sugar. Wood notes present strongly, but also pleasantly. Warming spicy alcohol and bitter cocoa appear a little later in the taste. Cinnamon and vanilla offer a flourish later in the taste. Finishes with a lingering note of sweet alcohol and wood.
Mouth feel: Very rich and full, almost syrupy, with only slight carbonation.
Drinkability/Notes: Quite excellent, certainly deserves the appellation: "over the top". Certainly could be called "dessert in a glass".
Presentation: Packaged in a custom eleven point two ounce brown glass bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a New Belgium balloon glass.

12 oz. bottle from the 4 pack variety Hellfighter series.
Aroma: Vanilla, coffee, molasses / burnt sugar, deep dark rich malt, cinnamon, a lot of good things going on.
Appearance: Black glass is opaque, holds a thin ring of tan foam that doesn't lace. No carbonation stream noted.
Taste: Dark malt, cinnamon, vanilla, milk sugar (lactose) condensed milk, more cinnamon, slow fade into a slight burn.
Mouthfeel: Low carbonation, medium heavy body, chew, heat, a bit oily.
Overall: Big 'un. One serious hombre. I haven't had horchata but now I want some. There is a firm milk stout vibe when mixed with the spices just hits a great note. Nice stuff, I'll look for another 4 pack.

The 2019 4 pack "One Each" Hellfighter release - Part 3 - "Horchata BBH"
brewed on 1/15/19 (again....WHAT AM I DOING)
11.2 oz bottle poured from can to pint glass. ABV reads 11.8%
A: dark, cola-esque body, with a toasted cream colored head which has very low retention and settles on down to a thin ring of foamy bubbles.
S: light booze, malted chocolate/cinnamon bittersweet with a vanilla cream sweetness kicker. bourbon is underplayed here.
T: follows the nose. slight booziness that gets run over by overt milk chocolate sweetness, a little cinnamon kick, and a vanilla/cream intertwined.
F: heavy body, medium carbonation that makes it feel "crisp"
Overall (personal opinion):
I think this one would have benefitted from getting shelved for at least 6 mos. that being said, honestly, this brew probably nailed what it was going for, which I've reflected in my scoring. this was a great example of how to balance the elements of chocolate, cinnamon, and lactose in a barrel aged affair.
my ultimate advice: if you come across this pack, buy two if you can. stow one away for about a year, and then hold a "crash course flight" on the styles contained within the pack.

L -very dark brown, almost black with 2 fingers of head that quickly dissipate.
S- bourbon, chocolate
T- more bourbon than the mole variant, fits my tastes better. Chocolate can cinnamon. Then something I can’t quite put my finger on, I guess the horchata? I sweet milky, milk chocolate flavor.
F-thin and fizzy.
O- not bad at all. Not much different than regular BBH though.
