12oz can into 22oz BWW weizen glass.

Pours a typical hefe cloudy orange yellow although with a smaller than normal white head. Head goes down to a skim fairly quickly given the style. Smell is light and lemon citrusy with some of the yeast coming out, though not as much as I'd like. Taste is light and citrusy wheat some good amounts of hefe yeast and a hint of spice. The aftertaste has some orange rind. Body is extremely light given the style and could use a bit of oomph, nice and dry.

This comes off more like a weak weissbier than a wit/weiss hybrid. Only fans of the style will be able to pick up the subtle spicing and lighter than normal body that suggest wit. Not a bad beer but leaves me wanting either a wit or a weiss, not both.

i really enjoyed this wit/hefe hybrid, it really is the best of both worlds, and i found it light, bright, summery, and refreshing, better than anticipated. a cool mix of the two styles and all the key elements from both are there. it starts with the wheat malt, which is pale and light but very fresh and entirely foundational for this beer. the banana creamy yeast complexion of a good hefe leads the way, but the coriander spice and citrus elements of the wit are also present, especially towards the finish. notes of lemongrass, orange, and mild spices, none of it over the top or run away, its all restrained enough to keep this approachable and majorly easy drinking. i like how high the carbonation is, and how it warms up, its a total crusher, but more flavorful than other beers in that context. definitely a warm weather thing for me, but a really tasty brew overall, some of the better stuff i have had from these guys, and a cool fusion of styles that i am seeing for the first time. i am surprised more brewers havent gone for something like this, the elements of both work perfectly together!

If I could, I would gargle with this stuff every night. The flowery banana head tickles my lips with bubbly ecstasy while the cool, refreshing golden nectar revitalizes my soul and baptizes my organs, washing away my sins.

New brewery, first time trying anything from them. Hearty pour from a growler at the La Muerta bottle share. Thank you to the guy whose name I no longer remember for inviting me into the circle and offering me a taste of this fantastic brew.

This one hits all the notes. It’s like the hefe of my wildest expectations, moreso than most hefes I’ve had in memory. By that I mean it smells wonderful, with a full aroma of banana and cloves that carries over to the taste. It’s sweet, just right, and so flavorful I’m still thinking about it a day later. This is a good one and I’m eager to see more from these guys.

1345th Review on BA
Can to Weizen glass

Thanks to Lnashsig for this one.

App- Pours just like a Hefe, except maybe a bit lighter and clearer. Nice yellow colors with some gold in the glass. Short lived one finger head with some nice stick.

Smell- Slight earthy and grainular with a touch of bitter behind it. The yeast, pepper and bubble gum was very hidden. More like a pale wheat on the nose.

Taste- Flavors are very sharp and crisp. Takes a while to move past the pale wheat feel to it and allow some of the banana and peppery clove notes to come out. The grainy flavor was still there with a bit of a Hefe finish.

Mouth- A light body with a light stinging carbonation. Had some nice residual wheat aspect but the graininess got to me.

Drink- Another solid offering from Karbach. Had another Symphony for the lager tonight out of the can and it did taste better. Wonder if all of them do.

On tap at Petrol Station Houston.

A- Hazy warm yellowish orange color poured with a decent 1 and half finger eggshell colored head. Looks very refreshing and inviting.

S- This thing smells great. Lots of wheat, hints of a sweet banana/ clove. Very fruity smelling but not tropical fruits or citrus typically associated with heavily hopped IPAs.

T- This thing tastes awesome. The smell transfers over to the taste greatly. Lots of wheat and refreshing light fruit flavor. A tad bit of hops balances everything things out. This beer finishes dry and is more flavorful than alot of it's euro counterparts.

M- Light, crisp and very quaffable. Plenty of carbonation. This beer has a perfect home here in the sweltering heat of Houston.

O- This is one of the best heffe/wit style beers I've had the pleasure of drinking. I think this beer is even superior to its Live Oak counterpart. Very proud this is made in my home town. I went back the very next day after trying it and got a growler fill.

Pours a hazy orange amber color, pure white bubbly head less than an inch thick, fades reasonably quickly. Not much of a head for a wheat beer but it's pretty regardless.

Nose is yeasty banana, malty vanilla/caramel (almost white chocolate), maybe some strawberry or other fruit, spices.

Taste opens with fruit, strawberry or grapes or something, moves into that malty flavor again, some spice but not too much, something kindof tangy or metallic maybe but it's not as much of an off flavor as that sounds like. Less banana flavor than in the nose, more berry fruit.

Mouthfeel is fairly well carbed, body a little thick for a wheat beer, drinkability pretty good.

Solid beer overall, actually not that much like a normal hefeweizen *or* wit, though definitely more like the former.

Can. Poured a clearer yellow. Aroma is of strong Belgian Hefe yeast. Banana! Smells like Laffy Taffy Banana. Wheaty, too. Flavor is a ton of banana from there are some cloves and more wheat on the tongue. Banana pudding. Light bodied. Very peppy carbonation. Did not enjoy this beer that much.

This beer was courtesy of MordorMongo, who gave it to me since he got a few as extras in a trade. Thanks Scott!

This Weiss in a can pours a light bodied, very cloudy dull gold in clor with a few chunks of sediment. It looks the part and has a one finger white head. The nose is decent too. There is plenty of Bavarian yeast and banana, some clove, and spice. The flavors are on par as well. There is plenty of yeast character and earthy spice. It also has an ever so slight creamed corn element, but nowhere as intense as Live Oak. The best part of this beer may be the body. It drinks thick for a Hefe. That's how I like them and this drinks as thick as Weihenstephaner. Overall this was a pretty nice Hefe and it really surprised me. I didn't think a Hefe out of a can could be this good.
