Can to Weizen glass
12oz

Thanks to Lnashsig for this one.

App- Pours just like a Hefe, except maybe a bit lighter and clearer. Nice yellow colors with some gold in the glass. Short lived one finger head with some nice stick.

Smell- Slight earthy and grainular with a touch of bitter behind it. The yeast, pepper and bubble gum was very hidden. More like a pale wheat on the nose.

Taste- Flavors are very sharp and crisp. Takes a while to move past the pale wheat feel to it and allow some of the banana and peppery clove notes to come out. The grainy flavor was still there with a bit of a Hefe finish.

Mouth- A light body with a light stinging carbonation. Had some nice residual wheat aspect but the graininess got to me.

Drink- Another solid offering from Karbach. Had another Symphony for the lager tonight out of the can and it did taste better. Wonder if all of them do.

Extra from a trade with dcloeren. Can poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance - Nice, hazy gold color that's representative of the style. It's completely opaque and pours with a decent head that dissipates quickly.

Smell - Banana and clove: very typical of German yeast.

Taste - A bit weak. There's some banana and clove, but not nearly as much body as one would expect from a German style wheat. Just feels a bit empty after the initial banana hit.

Mouthfeel - Lots of carbonation. Some body but not full - none of the silkiness that should be there.

Overall - Just an average easy drinking lawnmower beer. My home brewed wit tastes better IMHO. Probably wouldn't drink again unless it was given to me.

Pours a slightly hazed bronze with 3 fingers of fast falling eggshell white colored head. No head retention or lacing, stays a little hazed

S: Juicy fruit & pears

T: Follows the nose, some bready sweetness as well up front. More pears & breadyness as this warms, slight phenolic presence & a little bit of clove. Finishes fruity, a little dry, with some golden delicious apple skin

MF: Medium body with restrained carbonation

Drinkable, but a little restrained, even a tad timid for the style

Very fresh straight from the brewery tap.
Hazy orange color with a thick head with decent retention.
Aroma of banana yeast and cloves.
Predominant flavor of bubblegum, yeast, banana, floral hops and lemon.
Medium to full body with mild carbonation.
Flavorful and very easy to drink Hefeweizen with lots of banana-bubblegum. Didn’t get much of the Witbier components.

Poured at 47°F from a 12oz can (crafted on 16Dec15) into a weizen glass. Consumed on 11Feb16.
LOOK: Pours with a half fingers worth of white foam that dissipates into a partial line within 45 seconds. Yellow in color with a high amount of cloudiness. Rising bubbles are moderate in quantity and are small, medium, and large in size. I do like to see bubble diversity in my beers. Lacing is thin and nearly nonexistent.
SMELL: Strong aromas of cloves entangle with mild aromas of bananas, coriander, orange peel, wheat, and lemon zest.
TASTE: Strong flavors of cloves and mild flavors of bananas first strike the palate. Strong coriander flavors immediately follow as banana flavors grow stronger. Mild wheat flavors next make thier debut in the taste profile, giving this a nice, little complexity. Mild orange peel and subtle lemon zest flavors enter lastly as all previous flavors persist.
FEEL: Light-bodied and highly carbonated. Goes down rough. Finishes very crisp.
NOTE: A very unique beer. I think Karbach did a good job at creating a Hefeweizen/Witbier hybrid. I thought the clove flavors could have been toned down a bit. The major downfall for me was the poor mouthfeel. This was too thin and carbonated. With all that being said, I once brought a six pack of these to a river trip... Not a single regret. I highly recommend on a hot, Texas day.

This was an intense hefeweizen. Strong aroma and taste. I drank it out of the can so maybe that had something to do with it. I liked it but it didn't have the soft mouthfeel I was expecting.
