12 oz. can poured into "craft beer" glass (stick)

L: cool murky light orange; not 100% opaque but not clear; OK head of about 1/2 inch, very little lacing. the head isn't fantastic, but the color is.

S: tripel/hefeweizen like to me ... lots of sweeter/sour citrus, banana. smells a bit like wine.

T: very hefeweizen, plenty of sweetness but not overly so, lots of banana

F: fantastic body, carbonation

O: for a beer that isn't among my favorite styles, this one tasted awfully good during a recent fishing trip. and if you're in the mood for a tripel but want to save money, honestly, you could do worse than a couple cans of Barn Burner.

On tap, poured into a shaker. There's an aroma that's bright lemon zest with some some graham cracker notes hiding underneath, some light egg drop soup notes, and a light herb (coriander). The beer is just slightly hazy with a straw hue and a dense foam, white head that mostly disappears, leaving only a light retention and lace. The taste is a bit north of medium sweet with a complimentary, medium light bitter. The beer is soft with a foamy and spritzy carbonation, an oily texture, and a medium light body flavored by bread, lemon, and some tropical notes with a crisp, clean finish of clean lemon and coriander along with a hint of graham cracker and bitter citrus. The aftertaste is short and the beer is quite clean and refreshing.

On tap at Anvil.

The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of Belgian yeast notes, as well as a little bit if spice and some biscuit malt. The flavor features a lot of orange and lemon citrus notes, as well as some sugar and Belgian yeast. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A nice Texas-made saison.

Thanks, wagenvolks and xpimptastikx!

A saison from a can? In!

Clear golden. Creamy, persistent near-white head. Not a lot of stick, but a pretty beer nonetheless.

Very classic saison aroma. Dried grass and a little hay, very mild lemon, good amounts of earth, and faint, leafy hop character. Very nice.

Similar flavor as the aroma. Yeast dominated flavor with earth and dried grass notes shining through right up against just a bit of lemon, pepper, and leaf. Very tasty.

Medium bodied with crisp, near-high carbonation.

Too crushable. I want to get a case of this for the racetrack.
