Pours a very dark amber color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is mild to non-existent. Lacing is mild. More of a watered down spicy pumpkin aroma. Slight nutmeg. Good smooth taste. Mild nutmeg. Good pumpkin spices. Medium bodied. Mild carbonation.

2016 batch
Poured light brown out the can. Fluffy off white head. Brown red in the glass. Fairly transparent with little carbonation
Smells like sweet potato pie, candied yams, cinnamon, nutmeg, very sweet smelling.

Tastes more subdued than the nose but everything is present. .lingering sweetness on the back.
Medium plus feel.

I normally don't like Pumpkin ales. I usually have a few during fall just because it's the seasonal that everyone puts out. But here I am in late December and I find krunkin Pumpkin in a cask. It was near room temp maybe 65 degrees and I enjoyed it as much as I hoped and more than I had anticipated. Tatse was good, and the look and aroma surprised me. It went down quick for 8.5%. I conclude with the belief that we need more casks and warmer beer because it's better that way.

Thin head with nice lacing. Pleasant sweet spicy smell. Taste is bready, almost like a hefe with a light pumpkin taste. The pumpkin is not overwhelming. The spice could be a bit stronger, but I liked it.

APPEARANCE: Very dark, reddish-brown. The head surges and then vanishes quickly. A few different stream of bubbles rise up from the bottom, creating little islands of bubbles on the surface. Lacing

SMELL: Smell almost exactly like pumpkin pie; cinnamon, brown sugar, clove, allspice, nutmeg and a touch of bread. This smells big and rich.

TASTE: The taste is far breadier than the nose suggested. There is also a larger dose of actual pumpkin flavor with the spices playing more of a supporting role. A pleasant, mild malt sweetness balances the bread.

MOUTHFEEL: Light to medium bodied, not what I expected from such a dark colored beer. The carbonation is fairly strong with a palate cleansing sparkle. The finish is far more clean than most other pumpkins.

OVERALL: This is very drinkable beer. I expected a gigantic, overly sweet, malt bomb. Instead, I got a drinkable, refreshing, extremely well-balanced beer with a ton of real pumpkin flavor and spicy aromas. Delicious.

Pours a medium brown color with a khaki colored head. Mild aroma. Taste reveals a hearty pumpkin flavor with relatively little spice. Alcohol is noticeable but not forward. Not too bitter. Light to medium body and clean mouthfeel. A pleasant and very traditional pumpkin ale.

12 oz can. Pours clean deep amber brown, thick off white head fades to a thin ring, no lace. Rich malty aroma with spices, nutmeg and cloves. Taste has a strong caramel malt flavor, but not overly sweet. The pumpkin and spices kinda smack the sweetness down. Flavors are pretty bold, nutmeg and cloves, but lighter on the cinnamon than most pumpkin ales. Turns a little boozy at the end. Clean crisp dry finish. Good imperial pumpkin brew overall.
