So this was one of the rare offerings that ol boy James brought to March Madness that wasn't all that good. Honestly, it might be the only bottle the dude has ever brought out of dozens and dozens that didn't pan out. Shit, I'm always bringing a beer a day for the tournament that I am only bringing because there's like 6 dudes on average at a time to help slug some shit I don't like down. I digress.
Pours a dark brown. Didn't really see that red/dark red hue to the edge of the glass. Consumed June 2018. Not much of a head to it. Didn't pull bourbon in the nose. Cherry, yes. Smelled a bit more like a brown cherry ale.
Taste, I dunno man, this didn't work, the bourbon notes aren't really there beyond a generic booziness. The cherries seem to contribute to this viscosity movement that isn't from loads of grain. The malt style came off more brown ale than porter, the roasted malt aspect just didn't happen. The cherry is a thicker, darker cherry, neither tart nor sweet. Big meh, lacking bourbon character.

FUN Series 006: BA Hellfighter with Cherries
Very similar to the base beer, but with cherries. Cherries were not tart or sweet, just right to provide a little extra flavor that didn't over power the base beer. Some vanilla and light coconut.

Not sure if something was wrong with the brew or if that's just how this beer is meant to be. It was incredibly yeasty and reminded me of a homebrew that was not well executed. Couldn't taste any roasted flavors over the yeast and slightly tart cherry. No sweetness as I would expect in a big beer like this. Very disappointing overall.
