This IPA falls more into the piney category than citrus. It reminds me of a slightly less malty lower ABV version of Stone IPA. Clarity wise it fits right in there. Aroma includes some malts but fairly subdued, this is definitely more of a crisp hoppy IPA than a heavier cloudier version that some of the better east coast varieties are known for. Very quaffable, hops shine through. Not sure what this was done with but it kind of feels like simcoe and/or centennial.

On-tap 11/30/2014 at Spumoni’s in Pawtucket, RI, served in a weizen glass.

A: The beer is a deep golden brown color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains piney hops, caramelized malts and fruity citrus.

T: The taste starts out with a burst of grassy hops bitterness followed by sweet flavors of citrus and caramel. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Very tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid IPA to pound down for a long time.

Tangerine, Grapefruit and pine. As with most session ipas, they lack a pop of flavor. Simple toasted grain malt. Very light. Building bitterness. Lower sweetness. Not the best session I've had. Eh.

Amber to red color. Hazy. Nice starting head but it settles very quickly. No lasting lace.

Sweet and hoppy in equal measures to the nose.

Dry with just a touch of earthiness. Good hop finish (still dry) but with a short aftertaste. The body is thin but the carbonation is also low. Easy to drink.

Golden with very slight haze. Smells resinous and inviting. Taste matches smell. Hoppy bitterness but not over the top.

The look pour a VERY cloudy hazy orange. It almost looks like you're going to end up biting this beer versus sipping it. The smell is not totally in your face, but there is a slightness to it. The taste on the other hand, wonderful. This has a perfectly balanced taste of dank hops that linger long on your tongue and in the back of your throat. The feel has a slight creamy effect to it seeing as it's a very cloudy beer, but it still maintains that IPA-ness that we all know and love. Overall this is a great, chilled out, drinking beer that would go great with most BBQs.

On tap at Ogie's Trailer Park in Providence:

Pours a golden-copperish tint, with a small white head that quickly dissipates. Nice, spotty lacing with lots of cling. The aroma is very malty. I got some pine and dank, but mostly caramelly malts. The taste is an improvement from the smell, as it delivers a lot more pine than the smell would indicate, but the balance of flavor is definitely tipped in favor of malt over hops, which is out of step with most palates these days when it comes to IPAs. Still, there is some good flavor here, and its a pretty good brew. The feel is sticky, and it has a medium body with some lingering stickiness.
