Murky bronze color and light head. Earthy smell and the first sip definitely wakes the tastebuds with a bitter flowery taste.
Further sips bring out the Citra (welcomed), however the aftertaste sticks around awhile.
Not my favorite Revival.

Light amber color with a bit of a haze. Lasting thin head which gives some reasonable streaks for lace.

Mostly weedy and grassy to the nose. There's a good mildly toasted malt base in the background.

Mostly hoppy which gives this beer a black pepper finish. The lightly toasted malt base is very brief. Richer body with a moderate carbonation level, so this beer is thicker than most IPAs. Long aftertaste.

While I’ve enjoyed their beers in the past this was was a major fail. Drank from a can, days after it was packaged . Hyped as “fresh juice” in the IG Page, this was flavorless and bitter and tastes like an onion. Maybe a bad batch, but this is Undrinkable.

Thanks to the staff at Nikki's in Providence for recommending this brew.

This is a perfect example of why I am becoming endeared to NE style IPA. It looks pulpy, almost like a smoothie. The aroma is enticing. The flavor is captivating. Great selection of Hops in the blend. My only regret is that I bought just one to pack in my luggage...

From a can into a mini mug at a beer festival in Connecticut.

16oz. can served in a nonic. Pours a dull, burnt orange with a hazy clarity and lots of floaties suspended in-solution. Head is a quarter inch, rocky and off-white and quickly dissipates into a soapy swirl. Nose expresses dull tangerine notes, pith and a light earthy quality towards the back. Taste consistent with nose - not as bright as the NEIPA's that characterize the style (e.g. Trillium, Treehouse, etc.); however, pretty pleasant and drinkable without too much of a malt backbone. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (but closer to light) with a pleasant, even carbonation. All and all, a solid hazy IPA - maybe light on the dry-hopping but pretty enjoyable and at a reasonable price point.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass canned on 7/31/17. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a 2 finger sticky white that leaves some nice thick lines of lace behind. Honestly it lost points for being too clear and calling itself a NEIPA.

Smell is herbal, tangerine, apricot, pineapple, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows fairly tropical, but lacking the juicyness that I for one love out of this style. Apricot, tangerine, and grapefruit, but has a herbal taste not complaining just can't figure it out.

Mouthfeel is medium, moderate life, definitely not dry, and plenty drinkable.

Overall nothing wrong with this, but it is a way below average NEIPA, but as a regular IPA it is balanced and tasty enough.

The pressure mounts to take the IPA to the next level. The right hopping regime, yeast choice, adjunct additions and mineral content playing a big role; everyone it trying to make a New England styled IPA. Some better than others. The folks at Revival Brewing tries their hand at this trendy style by asking, You Thirsty?

And the beer by that namesake carries the IPA perfume of citrus, orchard and tropical fruit along with elements of pine and grassiness. Dry granola and hints of nuttiness, caramel and honey decorate the initial sip while the ale settles in the glass with a strong hazy amber color and capped with a creamy white crown.

Its moderate sweetness retreats quickly while the hop perfume billows onto the middle palate with a burst of red grapefruit, blood orange and a pep of lemon. Light tropics of apricot, mango and peach add a zesty but succulent nuance before heading into a strong but clean bitter taste of torn pinecone, grassiness and lemongrass.

Medium dry in body but trending dry, spicy and crisp, the beer prefers a west coast drinkability of a dry and citrusy ale with a sharp finish over that of succulence, juiciness or doughiness. A long and spicy aftertaste of grass and citrus peel ensure that the ale shares maybe more attributes of a well made West Coast IPA than that of anything New England-like.

Many thanks to SawDog505 for this can.

A - Hazy orange pour, thin white lacing ring, no visible carbonation.

S - Subdued citrus juice.

T - Citrus, some grapefruit, lingering citrus/pine bitterness.

M - Medium body.

O - This was a tough beer to peg on the flavor side.

Mine was copper coloured and very malty. Mouthfeel was bland and could not taste any juiciness at all. I bought a 4-pack based on the good reviews but I'm not sure I even got the correct beer in the can. Nothing about it tastes like a NE IPA. Terrible representation.

Brewed on 6/11/17, which may explain the taste. Should have passed on it.
