Inviting coffee-like black brew with a tan head.
Aroma is inviting: roasted coffee, burnt caramel, toffee, red grapes. Hints of figs and bananas.
Flavor follows. The nitro treatment moves all of the flavors to the middle, and the result is a smooth, very approachable take on a dry Irish stout. Caramel, toffee, dates, burnt coffee, toast, red grapes.
Smooth and creamy on the palate, but very light, almost watery. Logical for a 5.5% ABV nitro brew. Less astringent than a typical dry Irish stout.

Now called "Ice Fight".
16 oz can traded from tasterschoice62. Served in tall glass, poured hard.
Nice dark brown-to-black color with a creamy firm cap of beige. Really nailed the Guinness style.
Aroma is faint roasted grain husks, slight dry coffee, slight fruitiness.
Flavor has elements of berry and roasted barley, slight chalky coffee, yeast, and a dry finish of grain.
Feel is creamy but carbonation still manages to peek through.
Overall it tastes somewhat like what I would call a failure in my homebrewing. It's not all that exciting and the raw ingredients are still very prominent. It tastes unfinished.

16 oz. can date 4/30/18 poured into a 20 oz. mug.
Opaque and 1 shade lighter than black, when held next to my black cat the 1 shade of brown can be seen.
Rich and foamy 1 finger long lasting tan head plus decent lacing.
A high malt content is evident in the smell, both sweet malt and roasted. A considerable hop smell is present.
Malty semi-sweet chocolate taste is quickly replaced by roasted coffee bitterness, and finally hops.
Medium to rich even textured mouth feel.
Unpretentious and true to style this could make the dark half of a great Black & Tan.
