Slightly hazed gold, big chunky head to a cap and some good lace. Weakest part of the brew is its aroma. It's boozy, chemical, harsh. Citrusy hops are there, but they are overwhelmed. Big juicy mouthfeel. Also finishes harsh. Bitter, boozy finish. Taste profile is similarly unrefined. I dont mind rough edged stuff, but this is past that and on into brutal. Lacks polish, finesse. No thanks. Very disappointing, clumsy.

Wow! Not really a saison, it is too high in ABV and too hoppy. More an imperial belgian IPA, but who cares! Delicious, full but never out of balance, American hops over the phenolic quality of a Saison least. A hard act to balance but this manages it.

An interesting saison brew from Sawdust City. The incredible Galaxy and Amarillo hops are prevalent. Ella hops are also added giving a distictive taste. Very boozy. Canned from the LCBO.

Pours hazy straw with a gigantic chunky pure white head that lasts the entire glass. The aroma is of fruity, citrusy hops and fruity, spicy yeast esters. Tropical fruit, pear, lemon, cloves, cotton candy mix in the hoppy, Belgian flavor. Alcohol heat is evident throughout but not distracting. The mouthfeel is full bodied with a velvety, creamy carbonation. Light bitterness and lingering fruityness in the finish.

A nice Belgian ale. Less hop centric and more entering Tripel territory. Very complex. Definitely worth a try.

Smell: spicy yeast, acidic citrus, slight funk & cardboard.
Taste: prickly & highly carbonated, lemon rind.
Finish: very acidic, bitter citrus rind.
Disappointed with this one. Not enough "Belgian" character. Can says 35 IBU but feels more bitter than that!

A-Murky yellow with a white head
S-No much aroma that I can detect
M-I am not a fan of the higher carbonation as it add a spice
T-Too floral for me, not enough bitterness
O-Interesting beer. I am not a fan of Belgium brews and the IPUs are low for my taste.

What a wonderful find! Perfect carbonation and a plethora of flavours. The bitterness gets cut in half about mid-way, as it slides down your throat. The alcohol is also well hidden and it retains a lovely head throughout.
A bit pricey, but as it's retired, it's worth a quick pick up while supplies last.
