this beer pours a nice medium brown color with a good inch and a half head. good lacing and nice retention.
a good balance of sweet maltiness and some hop flavor come through when sipped. definate chocolate taste also. this is an easy drinking suprisingly tasty example of brown ale. sessionable and well worth checking out if you can find it. bonus points for being canned and therefore able to be taken to a beach, river, or park.

Can to a shaker pint.
Poured a dark ruby brown color with tan head that disappeared fairly quickly.
Mild carbonation, aroma of chocolate and malt, slight dried fruit.
Taste was slightly sweet and roasted. Some hop bitterness.

Poured from a can into a room temp tulip. Rags to riches.
A: Pours a dark chocolate brown with a thick khaki head that settles into a quarter-inch and maintains that. Laces nicey.
S: Some notes of nutty coffee, toffee and caramel. Nice in the nose.
T: Nutty malts, a little caramel. Toast and a little brown sugar settles on the back of the palate after a few pulls.
M: Smooth and quaffable with little evident carbonation. A thirst-quencher, for sure.
O: A decent brown. Mostly subtle flavors with good drinkability, and although I can't find fault in it, I don't see myself running to it when looking for a brown. But again, it's a decent brown ale.

Pours from the can a brown beer with a light tan head. Hoppy smell and a malty taste. Possibly due to the chill of the beer, I do not notice the alcohol in this beer, so, when chilled, it can be dangerous!
