This Belgian pale ale pours a dark golden color with a medium foamy white head. It is highly carbonated and obviously unfiltered with somewhat large floaties. The smell is very malty and yeasty with a slight hint of citrus, possibly orange. The taste is somewhat sweet, a little fruity, and quite complex. There is definite flavors of honey and some nice malts, orange, lemon, bananas, clove, and possibly some other things. I definitely enjoy the flavor, but the extra-large sediment is really kind of off putting. If I were to drink it again I would probably strain it first.

Had on tap after the De Halve Mann brewery tour in Bruges. Nice blonde, slightly hazy appearance with good head retention. Smells of bananas and a bit of citrus. Spices come through slightly as well. Taste is crisp and refreshing. Not an abundance of flavors, but a solid sessionable blonde. Also would highly recommend the tour if you find yourself in Bruges!

It's a hazy golden beer, almost murky. Aroma is filled with pear, candi sugar, coriander, and bruised apple. Flavor reveals more citrus underpinnings, pear dominance, clove, and a bready malt backbone that dries out the peppery finish. Mineral and metallic notes surface late. More bready than some, and with plenty of alcohol warmth that's slightly overwhelming.
