L - dark brown with a quite small head that lingers a bit

S - plum, date and other dark fruits

T - follow the smell, with a certain sweetness

F - A bit crisp for a quadrupel, but real delight

O - A great quadrupel from Brugges!

This is way to sweet of a beer for me. I paid 4.99 for a 12oz bottle and have no regrets but i would not pay anywhere near that to have it again. the ABV% is the best part (11%)

Draught. Creamy, delicate, raisin, prune, slightly tangy, very drinkable, not highly complex

Had two of these last night at The Yard House. Really good quad, without any hint of 11%. Definitely will have this one again.

Got this bottle from @Beergium a few days ago and today it's #friday so why not open it?

Best before May 2019 so it should be drinkable... ;)

The beer pours hazy, dark brown, nutty colour. Beige, fluffy, creamy, beige head.

Nose: Nuts, toffee, roasted caramel malt, molasses, raisin and candied sugar.
Taste: Oh! This is good! Again candied sugar, molasses, nuts, oak, spices, black pepper, brown sugar, raisin, dried fruit, almond, coffee and honey. The taste gives so much more than the nose! I'm impressed!
Mouthfeel: Creamy, soft, sweet and bitter. A bit alcohol warmth. Medium body. High carbonation.

A bottle of LOVE!

Appearance: Dark copper colored body with a two finger tanned head with excellent retention.

Smell: Quite a mild and fresh smell of flowers, cheery and chocolate.

Taste: Roasted malts, figs, brown sugar and a touch of candy cane. Conceals the alcohol perfectly.

Mouthfeel: Medium body, very smooth feeling with light carbonation.

Overall: Sweet as most quads, beautiful of both bottle and ale. One of my favorites so far!

Very good belgian quad, I tasted it with Rochefort 10 and St Bernardus 12, it´s defenitely below those two beers but it´s a great example of the style. Rich, aromatic, spicy, strong, fruity, spectacular.

Dark brown with a thick, foamy, light tan head that stays and clings to the glass. The aroma is dark fruits, malt and burnt sugar sweetness. The taste follows the aromas and the main flavors are dark fruit, cherries, burnt sugar and a quite strong bitterness. The mouthfeel is a little too carbonated but also creamy. Not a bad quad but for me the carbonation and bitterness are a little too much.
