Pours a dark cognac colored brown with a large lasting tan head, light lacing. Aroma has caramel malt, yeast with dark fruit esters and some raisins and black figs. Taste same as aroma with some mild hops bitterness to mellow out the sweetness and sweet alcohol notes. Palate is a full , creamy, slightly thick and sticky mouth feel, good carbonation. Finish has very rich flavor, same attributes as taste with some brown sugar and a lingering caramel malt and sweet alcohol flavors. Alcohol seems well hidden but you feel it in the end. Overall a very good, delicious and flavorful brew.

Appearance - opaque mahogany body with some tan head

Smell - brown sugar, prunes, plums, raisins

Taste - prunes, plums, raisins, brown sugar, clove

Mouthfeel - Pretty sweet tasting upfront, medium bodied, high level of carbonation, taste lingers on the palate for a bit

Overall - this is a pretty good example of a quad, leans toward the sweeter side. Worth a shot if you like the style.

Price Point - $9.99/750ML bottle

A: Dark brown cloudy with a ruby tinge. No visible carbonation, but a 4 finger beige rocky head with thick chunky lacing.

S: A bouquet of aroma comes out on opening the bottle. Flowers, cherries, nail polish, ripe banana, cream, raisins, figs, black currents.

T: Wonderful. The same flowers and cherries and blossoms, a little nail polish, ripe banana, cream, raisins and figs, chocolate and Christmas all are there.

M: Medium thick body, smooth fine bubbled carbonation.

O: Awesome brew. I got this one at Bruisin Ale’s in Asheville, drank it in New Hamburg, ON Aug 19, 2014.
