How do you cram as much hop & malt flavor and aroma as possible into a beer but make it crushable too? That’s the challenge we answered with PINNER Throwback IPA. At 4.9% ABV and 35 IBUs, this drinkable IPA uses several varieties of hops to target the ever-evolving flavor. With tropical fruits, citrus juices, pineapple and spice berry up front in the aroma and flavor, the biscuit & toasted bread at the back balance out all the hops and make a great finish to go on to your next can of PINNER. It’s the perfect beer for a little sip, sip, give.

Nice golden, hint of copper, slightly cloudy appearance. Nose is faint compared to most IPA’s, not sure what to make of it. Flavor starts malty, flash of fruitiness, and finishes plain, not much to remember. It’s alright, probably won’t get again.

Rerate, 355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.9%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Attractive aroma of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Well hopped flavour, but not overdone. Notes of citrus and other fruits make the beer very drinkable, the moderate piney bitterness seems just right for a session.

Original rating: RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at the BrewDog bar. Golden colour. Well hopped aroma and flavour, notes of tropical fruits and citrus, some pine. Easy drinking - a fine "session" IPA that could easily become a regular of mine.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head. Citrus, hops, malt on the nose. Taste is ok. Some tropical fruit, malt, pine, bitterness of hops but it could be a little more flavorful. Overall it feels a little watered down with a reasonable hop and carbonation bite at the end. Drinkable but unremarkable.

BACK OUTTA RETIREMENT

hazy yellow gold body pours with a fluffy white head that has low retention and leaves splatters of sticky lacing as it settles to a thin ring

aroma is slightly tropical, but also piney and lightly spicy

taste is light pine, rushed tropical/pineapple. herbal and grassy hop to boot.

high carbonation, medium light body; juicy, slightly watery, and finishes lightly dry

overall:
well balanced display of several different hop variants. pine, herb, grassy, citrus - you got it. all in a "light" package.

Session IPA and it’s back as part of a 12 pack of IPAs. Got this one fresh and enjoyed it on a sunny day. Light feel and a little citrus smell and taste. Not bad for a session IPA to drink in the summer.

This has been sitting in my fridge for a while, and I finally decided to crack it. Had VERY low expectations due to the low abv, but this had great flavor. Just enough pine going for it to keep me interested. With such a low abv, I thought this would be like drinking a bud light, but this was damn good!

Growler from the Beer Pump at Jacksons. Beautiful pout, huge fluffy head, medium golden body with columns of fine carbonation. Light piney, hoppy aroma, taste is more crisp hops, light bready malts, halfway between a pils and an IPA. Great when working on handyman projects.
