Poured from a can, freshness date on bottom (always appreciated), into a tulip

L: Mostly clear medium to light golden pour. Two fingers of foamy white head. Falls quickly with great lacing.

S: Tropical fruits and citrus... floral notes. Hops!

T/F: Medium bodied... bready and malty up front. Nice bitter tropical fruit dominant hop profile. Mango and pineapple mixed with grapefruit and pine. Medium bodied... well carbonated. Finish is tropical fruits and faux sweetness.

O: A pretty damned good IPA. Nothing fancy, but well crafted and certainly above average. A great any-time kinda beer.

Pours a cloudy orange, small eggshell head, decent lacing.
Not the most fragrant beer I've tried, citrus, pine and a hint of malt.
Flavor just jumps out of the glass, orange, grapefruit and pine.
Nice carbonation, a bit thin feeling.
I wasn't expecting much from this beer and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Crisp, refreshing and extremely drinkable.

An aromatic blast of citrus and pine hits the nostrils when you pour this beer. The taste leads with the strong citrus tones and leaves a tasty hop finish. As for the pour, it's a lucious gold with a thin head which leaves some lacing.

Appearance: Pours a yellowy body with a well-sized, though loose, off-white head. Light lacing.

Smell: Lightly oily oranges and grapefruits with some grassy, fresh-cut herbs, also some chunked pineapple and melon atop a modest maltiness.

Taste: A lightly grainy maltiness with a decent amount of initial sweetness. Fruity hop blend, touching on moist tropical melons, pineapple juice and citrus fruits. Moderate bitterness. Encroaching herbaceousness alongside some resiny pine. Bitterness remains assertive on the light, dry finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Fair enough.

Not as good or nuanced in flavor as Dale's Pale Ale from the same brewer to me as it's a bit less nuanced of a straight pine/citrus bit, but still quite respectable. Its crisp and not overly heavy, so I'd see it as a good outdoor warm weather beer.

Probably the signature element is the lovely head and lacing, which does stand out.

It's certainly not my favorite Oskar Blues beer (Dale's Pale and Old Chub are both wonderful).

Pours a very slightly golden amber color with a very thick foamy head. Head retention and lacing are both excellent. Has a nice fresh resinous citrus aroma. Taste is a bit watered down, though. Good citrus base with some piney hops, but the aftertaste is more watery. Not bad but just let down from the presentation and aroma. Mildly astringent aftertaste. Lighter bodied with moderate carbonation.

Juicy nose and start, then brings the IBU pain. Heavy, too; at 10 weeks, this could be starting to fade - I’m definitely not getting the crazy fruit I should from that hop bill. Or it could just be poorly designed…? Sit oddly in OB’s otherwise unimpeachable lineup. 3.75
