Canned 9/10/15; drank 9/26/15 @ the Yarchives.

See-through pale yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE bright white head; frothy lace.

Lemon & fresh flower notes in the nose.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Lemon & fresh flower flavors up front; mild orange citrus & soda water bite on the finish.

Clear gold, with a creamy white head. Good retention and lacing.

Notes of grapefruit peel, orange zest, lemon peel, pineapple, honeydew melon, cracker, and grass. Clean, crisp, and lightly dry with a touch of lingering grapefruit and lemon peel bitterness on the finish.

A solid IPA, but this one is a bit old. I'll change the ratings if I find a fresher can.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip glass.

L---Just the slightest touch of haze. Beautiful, rich golden color. Gorgeous fluffy white head with very good retention and excellent lacing. This is what other beers hope to look like.

S---Tropical fruits & citrus. Mango, lemon, papaya & pineapple.

T---Follows the nose to a tee. Usually something is stronger or weaker in the nose than the taste, but this one follows through perfectly.

F---Fairly thin feel. Juicy & wet, though

O---Really good beer. My first from this brewery, but I'm looking forward to trying more from them. They seem to know what they're doing.

L: Lighter orange, a bit hazy. Small carb bubbles. Thicker head resolves to decent head/lace
S: Lemon citrus
F: Nice effect of cream, bitter on the tongue and slight swallow burn.
T: Pleasant, flowery, light. Like a session, but this one hits the notes. Flavor well balanced. Grapefruit hops, with tangerine and lemon.
O: Well, it is it's name, but with a lighter approach, welcome. Great entry to the style.

S: Floral with notes of citrus and some yard weeds, some caramel and light malt in the background.

T:. Sweet citrus, some floral hops, a strong bitterness, notes of sweet caramel.

F: Creamy carbonation and medium body.

O:. This is a nice west coast style IPA.

Looks straw golden with a white lingering foamy head.Smell is not very pronounced for An IPA. Some mild pine, citrus, earthy. Tastes like a good IPA. Citrus overtones with a mild hop bite and a caramel malt finish. Feels semi crisp, finishes on the dry side with sufficient carbonation. This beer is good , but not outstanding. I would drink it again.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw, a bit of haze, head is off white with fine bubbles, presents 1/2 inch thick and then lingers with a solid top at least 1/4 inch thick; good lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is full of tropical fruits, but low on intensity - subtle mango, pineapple and maybe some passionfruit; very subtle malty bread component.

Taste follows the tropical fruity hops with a bit more bitterness presenting: mango, pineapple are dominant flavors but not overpowering or overdone. Moderate sweetness presents as you finish but limited malt depth, not bad just a bit thin in malty flavor.

Mouthfeel starts fairly soft to moderate then transitions to the bittering edge with some dryness.

Overall a good ipa but just bit out of balance with limited malt character to back up the tropical fruit and bitter qualities.

L: Slightly hazy golden color, massive four finger white head, good lacing, light carbonation.

S: Hops, some weird nasty smell...

T: Hops, malts. Slightly bitter. Strange taste for an IPA.

F: Light bodied.

O: Very disappointed. It tastes nothing like a good IPA.

A: The beer is quite hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that died down but left a short head covering the surface and a coating of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of pineapples, papayas and citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, but the pineapple stands out in particular and there are additional notes of passionfruit and the underlying malts with subtle hints of peppery spices. Only a light amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer has a lot of different flavors going on. While none of them really blew me away, they stimulate your taste buds.

Beer poured from can into glass. Slight haze on this otherwise pretty, light golden beer with an amazingly resilient head and lacing. Smell is floral and light citrus, very aromatic. Taste is hop forward and soft malt palate. Not bitter at all. Hop flavor is contained dankness, lemon and a touch of ripe tropical fruit in the background. Not my favorite hop combination whatever it is. Malt is lightly sweet and well done to support the hops. This is really well made, despite my preference for differ hop flavor.

Canned, love how it says STRONG BEER
pours an ever so slightly hazy wheat coloured body with massive sticking white foamy head
strange aroma of corn syrup and shaving foam, strange but nice and appealing
sweet then citrus then bitter carried by a great body
its not the IPA I deserve but the one I need

12oz canned 2/19/18 (37 days ago) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 6.43% ABV. The beer pours bright golden straw yellow with abundant & sticky off white head. The head eventually settles to a nice cap and leaves a substantial lacing. The aroma is a mix of tropical and citrus with grapefruit peel being predominant. The taste is an herbal bitter punch up front with some faint caramel body coming in behind. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, well carbonated and mostly dry in the finish. There is some definite resin/hop stickiness that keeps the finish from being truly dry. Overall, very good. This is a very nice, but bitter, example of a new twist on a west coast IPA.

This is truely an amazing beer considering it’s abundant availability. Drinking one that’s more than 2 months old with zero signs of oxidation! Great job Oskar Blues. Not many IPAs hold up this well nowadays. This is an awesome representation of Enigma hops. I believe this was the first commercial beer to use them and they really shine here. Great balance and drinkabity. Smooth mouthfeel, maybe a tiny bit high on the carbonation but other than that this is a really well executed beer and props to OB for doing such a great job packaging it!!

It's nice and light for the abv. Very subdued. Good mix of hoppery. Pay attention IPA wannabees this is how you make a smooth IPA that is balanced and very very drinkable. If you have a buddy that wants to try IPA's with some punch this is a good one to start them on! So balanced. The balance is incredible. Nice mix of citrus and pine. Very good acidic aftertaste. This one is just right. An IMPERIAL VERSION OF THIS WOULD BE LEGENDARY!

This brew, from a twelve ounce can, is a golden clear color with an amazing head. Beautiful, stable, and brilliantly white with great lace. The aroma has a little citrus, along with soft pale malt. Nice. The taste is lightly better with lots of hop flavors throughout. Full in body and very smooth.

Golden color with a huge thick head with great retention and leaving some laces.
Mild aroma with notes of grapefruit, some pine, lemongrass, a bit of mango and malt sweetness.
Flavor with notes of pine, caramel malt, grapefruit, fresh oranges, dank hops, minerals, some passionfruit, a bit of lychees, mango, melon and spices. Dry and bitter aftertaste. It feels milder than its 70 IBUs.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Complex American IPA with somewhat traditional approach, still without the bells and whistles of the contemporary types. This one felt a bit tired. I still prefer their classic APA top notch.

Pours a murky, cloudy orange with two fingers of stark-white head. Great head retention and lacing left behind. Aroma is citrus, pine, and resin, which form a classic, but balanced IPA. Flavor profile is more pine and resin right up front, but smooths out with a little dose of citrus, and tropical fruits towards the end. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a semi-grainy, velvety texture. Overall, a lovely IPA that is the complete package.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz can.

A very good (and particularly well-priced) IPA. Well-balanced and suitably bitter. Pale gold with a pleasant, fairly open structure. The eclectic hop profile is exciting: pine and spearmint come through distinctly, with ripe tropical fruit in the background. Dry and refreshing. [12 oz. can into a goblet glass]

S: Very citrusy with some pine and earthy-ness.

T: Citrusy and bitter, like orange or lemon rind. Fair amount of malt in the background. Some herbal flavors in the finish.

F: Moderate body, finishes dry.

O: Not much to say other than it is a solid IPA.

Pours a bright, crystal clear, medium amber producing almost 3 fingers of frothy, moderately lasting, glowing white head that leaves a webby coating of clumpy lacing, thick chunky cap & collar. Low effervesce streams from the bottom but it is an absolutely beautiful brew! Aroma is a nostril tingling, volatile hoppy tropical fruit forward mix of orange, tangerine, citrus pith, melon, berry, earthy floral & faint pine all mixed in a caramel, wheat dough & biscuit background. Taste is a fruity mix of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, pepper & some pine resin sitting on top of sweet, biscuit, cobbler-like dough & caramel. Bittersweet up front but transitioning to sweet before mid-sip into the finish where it rapidly gravitates back to a moderate bitter producing a shortlived, bitter citrus & pine aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation with a faint prickliness, slick & wet in the mouth but drying after the swallow. A very pleasant & drinkable East Coast style IPA.

Pours a mostly clear gold with a white head. Smells of hops, citrus, tropical fruits, and some malt. Tastes of sweet tropical fruits, mildly bitter hops, citrus, and malt. Medium in both body and carbonation. Overall its a pretty standard style IPA that I would put a little above average.

Light honey yellow with a slight haze, a few, small, slow rising bubbles. Topped with 5 fingers of off white head. Leaves a frothy lacing.

Smells of honey biscuits, oranges, grapefruit pith, pine, pineapple and caramel. There's a slight dankness as well.

Yes! The taste is amazing! I'm reeling over what to write about what just hit me. Its an extremely flavourful, diverse and complex mix of weed and cat nip, green leaves, a hint of lemon, and a little grapefruit pith lingering bitterness.

Medium body, medium carbonation. Really smooth.

Got this in Chiang Mai, where I am drinking it Sept 11th, 2017. Amazing brew. It reminds me of 'Hop, Drop and Roll' and Lagunitas Sucks. Loving how unique this is, which is what sets it apart from other IPAs.

Poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: Hazy straw yellow. Nice lacy white head.

Smell: Not too strong, citrus and hops.

Taste: Almost has a sweet fruity flavor with a citrus and grapefruit.

Mouthfeel: Crisp with a lot of carbonation.

Overall: A solid IPA, not my favorite, but would have it again.
