Pale peach-colored pour, with a moderate head. Aroma is spot on, offering fruity, slightly resiny notes. More bitter than many hazy IPAs, but with a lot of fruity hoppy flavor notes, together with sweet malt. It's strong enough to finish a little sweeter than dry, with lingering hop flavor. Excellent body, not too heavy for the strength, but substantial. Excellent IPA, ask expected from Oskar Blues.

(12 oz can, canned 02/26/21; gifted a cold single... poured into a fat tulip)

L: tall, frothy sponge of foam atop a hazy, sooty light-amber liquid... head recedes to chunky mountains, crusty lace above the cloud line

S: mango, papaya, Turkish delight?... tropical fruits nectar, maybe a slight fruit-punch vibe... passion fruit, yeah ok I guess... strident ethanol gradually sharpens

T: tropical notes fan out quietly to the perimeters as a familiar, earthy dank hop core leaps in front; floral-herbal dust-crusted dried fruit... marmalade-y resins... peppery-ish aftertaste, of course, awash in a sea of fruit sludge...

F: kind of an inflated touch; bouncy light-bodied with a soft, foamy-bulbous texture... more legs and drags as it goes

O: not sure how or why one would drink more than 1-2 of these in a sitting, if only drinking beer(ss)... tasty and 'tropical' but delicately sluggish (1780)

Appearance: Pours a semi-cloudy (~30% opacity), medium, pale-golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)

Aroma: Moderate tropical aromas of grapefruit, orange, and tropical pineapple. Some more orange citrus underneath. (3.75)

Flavor: Moderate flavors of tropical grapefruit citrus, orange, pineapple, with a citrus pith of bitterness on the end. Lots of tropical and juice flavor here, but with a citrus pith and bitterness component too. The citrus astringency lingers. (3.75)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Leaves a juicy astrigency on the palate off the end. (3.75)

Compared to New Belgium's V2K IPA 7/5/21: Pours a darker color that is clearer. More citrus, pineapple, and pithy bitterness. Less red grapefruit, blood orange, guava, papaya.

Overall: A pretty standard macro "juicy" IPA. It has the classic orange, grapefruit, and pineapple flavors. Not unlike Hazy Little Thing or Foggy Geezer. Not intensely hazy or juicy, but just so for a macro IPA. This one doesn't quite cross the line into full-hazy, because it has a citrus pith astringency off the end. (Final Rating: 3.77)
