Pale peach-colored pour, with a moderate head. Aroma is spot on, offering fruity, slightly resiny notes. More bitter than many hazy IPAs, but with a lot of fruity hoppy flavor notes, together with sweet malt. It's strong enough to finish a little sweeter than dry, with lingering hop flavor. Excellent body, not too heavy for the strength, but substantial. Excellent IPA, ask expected from Oskar Blues.

(12 oz can, canned 02/26/21; gifted a cold single... poured into a fat tulip)
L: tall, frothy sponge of foam atop a hazy, sooty light-amber liquid... head recedes to chunky mountains, crusty lace above the cloud line
S: mango, papaya, Turkish delight?... tropical fruits nectar, maybe a slight fruit-punch vibe... passion fruit, yeah ok I guess... strident ethanol gradually sharpens
T: tropical notes fan out quietly to the perimeters as a familiar, earthy dank hop core leaps in front; floral-herbal dust-crusted dried fruit... marmalade-y resins... peppery-ish aftertaste, of course, awash in a sea of fruit sludge...
F: kind of an inflated touch; bouncy light-bodied with a soft, foamy-bulbous texture... more legs and drags as it goes
O: not sure how or why one would drink more than 1-2 of these in a sitting, if only drinking beer(ss)... tasty and 'tropical' but delicately sluggish (1780)

Appearance: Pours a semi-cloudy (~30% opacity), medium, pale-golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate tropical aromas of grapefruit, orange, and tropical pineapple. Some more orange citrus underneath. (3.75)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of tropical grapefruit citrus, orange, pineapple, with a citrus pith of bitterness on the end. Lots of tropical and juice flavor here, but with a citrus pith and bitterness component too. The citrus astringency lingers. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Leaves a juicy astrigency on the palate off the end. (3.75)
Compared to New Belgium's V2K IPA 7/5/21: Pours a darker color that is clearer. More citrus, pineapple, and pithy bitterness. Less red grapefruit, blood orange, guava, papaya.
Overall: A pretty standard macro "juicy" IPA. It has the classic orange, grapefruit, and pineapple flavors. Not unlike Hazy Little Thing or Foggy Geezer. Not intensely hazy or juicy, but just so for a macro IPA. This one doesn't quite cross the line into full-hazy, because it has a citrus pith astringency off the end. (Final Rating: 3.77)

Dusty cloudy ipa with taste to match- not bad- just not the tropical hazy ipa that I anticipated. Maybe I got a bad one- got a few more to drink in this sampler pack- I’ll revisit this review if repetition reveals qualities ...
Not terrible- but not what I expected from the great Oskar brewery

Very fruity aroma right off the bat. Drinking it straight from the fridge the bitterness is a bit harsh, but mellows a bit a the beer warms.

I'll probably need to revist this, it is definitely not the best thing I've had but I like it enough to try more by the brewery as a whole as this is actually my first experience with them. The "tropical" is a super reach of a word though to sound different. I could definitely see myself liking this more after I couple more tries though.

12oz. can served in a shaker pint. Pours a dull, hazy orange with a tight, quarter inch bright white head. Nose reveals herbal notes and citrus rind. Taste expresses biscuit malts, citrus essence and finishes with some light herbal elements. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (closer to light) with a spritzy carbonation. Overall, not overly tropical; however, fairly drinkable with a well-hidden abv.

Oskar blues has a tough time fucking up a beer. This one is another solid installment. This is like a mix between a hazy and an american IPA. Really tasty and a high ABV that is disguised by the great tropical fruit flavors. This is really refreshing and a very solid beer.

Pours a shallow head which dissipates fairly quickly.
Color is somewhere between a hazy golden to straw yellow.
Good tropical aroma.
The taste is definitely tropical fruit and more hoppy than malty.
Mouthfeel is nice. Carbonation with a clean finish.
Overall a nice beer.

Very tasty IPA. Looks like a NE IPA on the pour. Big foamy white head with good retention, bands of lacing on the glass and a hazy, straw-yellow color. Aroma and flavor are more robust than the NE IPAs I have been drinking. I know this beer is classified as IPA -American, but it seems more NE....and a much better than average NE. The bitterness is subdued, but the tropical fruit is really showcased here. I am no expert on tropical fruit, but this is not just a touch of pineapple. There is fairly complex fruit flavors going on here and it is very enjoyable. Mouthfeel is rich with mild bitterness. Goes down very easy. In all, this one is a winner!!!!

Pours an opaque deep gold producing 4 fingers of beige, moderately lasting, billowy soap foam head that leaves a Jack Frost coating of lace on the sides of the glass as it recedes to a bubbly collar and thick surface island. Aroma is big, juicy tropical fruit of various sorts, tangerine and grapefruit with pine and herbal hints swimming in the pale malt. Taste is a mouth-filling burst of fruity flavors: tropical fruit heavy with tangerine, grapefruit and a hint of melon, slightly dense but succulent. The malt is pale and delicate. Finishes clean with a low level of short-lived bitterness. Aftertaste is a delicate fruitiness that is short-lived. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy bodied with moderate carbonation, juicy, slightly slick but heavy, tongue coating and mouth filling. Well balanced. A nice example of what the brewery intended it to be based on their description.
