I'll probably need to revist this, it is definitely not the best thing I've had but I like it enough to try more by the brewery as a whole as this is actually my first experience with them. The "tropical" is a super reach of a word though to sound different. I could definitely see myself liking this more after I couple more tries though.

12oz. can served in a shaker pint. Pours a dull, hazy orange with a tight, quarter inch bright white head. Nose reveals herbal notes and citrus rind. Taste expresses biscuit malts, citrus essence and finishes with some light herbal elements. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (closer to light) with a spritzy carbonation. Overall, not overly tropical; however, fairly drinkable with a well-hidden abv.

Oskar blues has a tough time fucking up a beer. This one is another solid installment. This is like a mix between a hazy and an american IPA. Really tasty and a high ABV that is disguised by the great tropical fruit flavors. This is really refreshing and a very solid beer.

Pours a shallow head which dissipates fairly quickly.
Color is somewhere between a hazy golden to straw yellow.
Good tropical aroma.
The taste is definitely tropical fruit and more hoppy than malty.
Mouthfeel is nice. Carbonation with a clean finish.
Overall a nice beer.

Very tasty IPA. Looks like a NE IPA on the pour. Big foamy white head with good retention, bands of lacing on the glass and a hazy, straw-yellow color. Aroma and flavor are more robust than the NE IPAs I have been drinking. I know this beer is classified as IPA -American, but it seems more NE....and a much better than average NE. The bitterness is subdued, but the tropical fruit is really showcased here. I am no expert on tropical fruit, but this is not just a touch of pineapple. There is fairly complex fruit flavors going on here and it is very enjoyable. Mouthfeel is rich with mild bitterness. Goes down very easy. In all, this one is a winner!!!!

Pours an opaque deep gold producing 4 fingers of beige, moderately lasting, billowy soap foam head that leaves a Jack Frost coating of lace on the sides of the glass as it recedes to a bubbly collar and thick surface island. Aroma is big, juicy tropical fruit of various sorts, tangerine and grapefruit with pine and herbal hints swimming in the pale malt. Taste is a mouth-filling burst of fruity flavors: tropical fruit heavy with tangerine, grapefruit and a hint of melon, slightly dense but succulent. The malt is pale and delicate. Finishes clean with a low level of short-lived bitterness. Aftertaste is a delicate fruitiness that is short-lived. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy bodied with moderate carbonation, juicy, slightly slick but heavy, tongue coating and mouth filling. Well balanced. A nice example of what the brewery intended it to be based on their description.

This brew is a very hazy, cloudy liquid...topped with a foamy white head. The aroma is very fruity...tropical, citrus and mango. Nice scent. The taste is balanced with plenty of fruit flavor. Full body and drinkable.

Pretty darn good I really must say! Very good on the nose alwith a sweet/citrusy finish. I've certainly had better Hazy IPAs, but this one surprised me, in part because I remember not being impressed with one of this brewer's other offerings

The color is a cloudy straw yellow with fine carbonation, a bit of a head and lace. A very nice hop aroma is there for those that take the time to smell. The taste brings a bit more hop boldness, both at the front and back ends, than expected, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The starch aspect, characteristic of this style is lacking. Unfortunately, the mouth picks up a pronounced taste of alcohol, something the good HIPAs hide well.

Pours pale yellow with a 1 inch white head. Moderate lacing. Hazy.

Aroma is very fruity: papaya, pineapple, mango.

Taste follows nose: papaya, pineapple, mango.

Medium bodied, light carbonation. Semi-sweet finish.

A nice, fruity beer for summer quenching.

Poured from 12oz can into a tulip. Canned 3/25/20.

Appearance: hazy light-golden hue with a finger of frothy ivory foam. Looks good to me.

Smell: nicely tropically-juicy hop character; I'm getting mango, pineapple, and guava; maybe a little citrus in there too. Enticing and well-executed.

Taste: the flavors are milder than the aroma, although mostly the same basic flavors. It's got a little bit of a sharp bitterness, which isn't entirely unwelcome, but perhaps a bit surprising given the style. I still quite like it, though.

Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a decent carbonation and creaminess for the style.

Overall: a tasty and interesting beer. The aroma is really good, especially considering that this was canned 2.5 months ago. I bet fresh it's just crazy.

All the way from Colorado to my late night desk the other night in Sweden. Who would have thought that? Sweden is about twice the size of Colorado with about half the guts when it comes to brew tasty beer. Practical reasons made me have this can straight out of the can. Makes it hard to rate the look and feel. Hovever, taste and feel is a homerun. I love these US imported beers. I pay around 3 USD each at my goverment operated liquor store, (it's basically the only way to buy stronger beverages in this country). I find it woth every penny. Will finish thid can and go to bed. And dream sweet dreams about visiting the Grill & Brew place in Lyons. Good night all.

Sparkling white head with irregular texture, veiled orange body. Very elegant bouquet, malt, white bread, crackers, tropical fruit, citrus fruits. On the palate the olfactory path is respected, an excellent malted base and a rich feast of fruit, grapefruit, passion fruit, mango and pineapple. The finish is fruity and slightly pungent bitter. Medium and velvety body, medium carbonation. Abv masterfully hidden.

Pours a hazy golden sunset color with a packed-in-concrete bone whit head. The nose is Dankosaurus Rex citrus aromas, with loads of mango, pineapple, and tangerines.

The mango and pineapple flavors dominate the taste, which is a good thing. This is juicy, flavorful, and packs a bite that keeps this in the “old school” IPA camp, which I appreciate.

I could pound this offering from an iconic brewery brewery in our beer nerd world for DAYS. Really well executed, IMHO.

Looks like a hazy NEIPA that leaves good lacing. Tropical juicy fruit flavors are most present. Finishes bitter and crisp. Very easy drinking at 7.2%. I imagine this would be fantastic on a hot summer day. Overall, a great juicy tropical IPA that packs a punch and I look forward to having again.

12oz canned in late January - purchased on a recommendation, probably a little old for me at this point but here we go.

A: Beautiful hazy lemonade-colored pour, medium-plus haze, with a white head that laces well.

S: Tropica fruit flesh, papaya and mango, doughy malt, banana? Fruity hints of dank pine.

T: Follows the nose, overripe tropical fruit, pineapple and mango, impressions of citrus, dankness, earthy greenness, hints of a boozy malt backbone.

MF: Smooth medium body, good carbonation for this style.

O: Just fine, would like to have tried it younger. At almost three months it’s leaning towards a malty IPA, so fresh it must have been delicious.

Pours a hazy, golden apple cider in color with a small amount of head and lots of lacing as you drink. Smells dank and fruity. Weed, bananas, apricot, tangerine with a doughy backbone. Taste is pretty in line with the aroma. Dank, herbal spiciness up front followed by a buttery, biscuity grain profile and subsiding to a floral, soapy, citrusy hop flavor that lingers on the tongue far after the gulp. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with ample creaminess, some oiliness and a bit of zest. Goes down smooth and easy. Perhaps a little sour, but feel gentle on the stomach. This one is pretty easy to drink with a 7.2% ABV. I am very much enjoying my moment of bliss. Cheers!

Can of Bliss poured nice and cold into a tulip and right away noticed nice haze and then, swirled and the nose was faint but reminiscent of pineapple and oranges. My initial tasting was a little too cold for the flavor to open up so I let the glass warm in my hands and was happy to taste a little alcohol and fruit flavor but not much hop character as far a bitterness. This is a beer that you could quaff two or three then hate yourself in the morning as it has a pretty above average alcohol content , plus I'm not twenty anymore. Mouthfeel to me was a little thin but I still enjoyed the good parts of this nice creation. All in all nice addition to the Blues stable.

Slightly hazy tarnished gold with loose puffy white head. Tangerine, guava, cantaloupe but also a touch of green onion on the nose. Wafer malts, then Sunny D, white melon, grapefruit granata, pineapple rind, hard kiwi + wild grass; cutting IBUs.

Mosaic, Azacca, Galaxy, El Dorado, Idaho 7

Canned Jan 2 - 9 and half weeks old. Tropical, yes, but instead of lush + juicy, it’s lean + sharp, almost tart - the underripe + acidic sides of all the fruits that these hops bring. It’s almost like OB saw all the IPAs out there now which are cloyingly, pornographically juicy - and there are plenty - so they went the opposite direction. It’s also too light, not insignificantly bitter, and salty as a pretzel. Opens up as it warms with a bunch of mango, but still a bit of a prickly pear overall.

Well made, just not fun enough.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned February 8th 2020.

Big rich forming head. Talk like a giant fist and off white in color, not quite bleach not quite yellow/khaki either somewhere colorwise in between. Big fat retention on this with bubbly fine swiss cheese and island clumping top. Body color is a slightly hazy, but very nice dark orange appearance, with super very faint reams of slow rising carbonation. Great aggressive looking IPA.

Excellent no bones about it tropical nose. Hits with tropical mango notes, maybe even some leafy herbal green character as well. After some time, there is a very beautiful Christmas tangerine orange quality to this as well. Not exotic or ground breaking, just really basic and really good though.

Palate seems a bit more controlled. Simple malt backbone that flirts a little bit with caramel but stays mostly neutral. Hop pleasure of a good simple orange juicy texture, as opposed to tropical exoticness. Good fruity finish, that once again is more orange juice and somewhat clean than tropical fruit.

A good solid tasty IPA.

6 pack of cans bought from Plaid Pantry in West Salem OR
$7.75 ( on sale).
Pours a hazy ( not NE style soupy haze though), orange with a gorgeous rocky white head.
Aroma is vaguely tropical..melons, papaya, mango etc..pleasant.
Taste is nice refreshing..,has a brisk pineapple aspect that is likeable.
Mouth feel is average for style..could use a wee touch more carbonation.
OK beer , but i fear past its best even in cans.
