Gubna was bred from Oskar Blues Brewery’s hankering to confront 100+ IBUs by cranking up the complexity of hops by pouring Cascade on top of copious amounts of Summit, then balancing that with a backbone of German Dark Munich Malt and Rye Malt. GUBNA’s post-fermentation dry-hopping with both hops allows this monstrosity to gently coax the citrus rind and grapefruit aroma while providing a rye malt-induced, spicy-yet-round middle, and a brisk, clean bitter finish (10 percent ABV, 100+ IBUs).

The color of darker gold honey, small 1/5" white head. That aroma, depending on which recipe (used to be 100% Summit hops), you would get a wallop of onion/garlic to some people, others would not notice it. It is unique either way, but I find it enjoyable in that funky, earthy, pungent abrasive kind of way.
Taste is so nice and hides the alcohol very well. Fully pushing that 100ibu envelope but also draping your mouth with all kinds of hop flavor beyond mere bitterness. Its around $4 a can, which is like $8 a bomber, so price wise isn't super friendly, but not abusive either.
Ages rough, drink asap especially here. Can be thick and syrupy moreso as the days go by. Distribution got wider, cans got older on shelves.

Amber color with a decent head and lace.
Aroma of floral hops, malts, stinky hops and hints of fruit.
Taste was sweet, mild bitterness, malts and an odd taste I could not really describe to you.
Medium body and carbonation.

355 ml can, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10.0%. Orange colour, moderate off-white head. Lovely aroma of piney hops, smells like a pine forest, also some fruity notes (oranges). The flavour is a massive attack of fruity and piney American hops, fairly light bodied and dry for its strength.

Wonderful aroma, thick clumpy lacing. Taste is oranges and other citrus, a hint of cough syrup sweetness, with a smidge of alcohol warmth. Be careful, this one will sneak up on you.
