I'm not sure if this the same as the other whiskey barrel Dales listed here, if it is please combine them.

This is a version of Dale's Pale Ale aged in Stranahan whiskey barrels for 8 months. Unlike a lot of other BA beers, this one is not blended with un-aged beer to stretch it out. The ABV varies by batch.

The beer poured a dark, rich amber with a nice rocky off-white head that had OK retention and minimal lacing. The whiskey is strongly apparent in the nose. It's also dominant on the tongue. The body remains the same as the regular Dales. Drinkability will vary according to your taste for whiskey, personally I would have liked to spent a good long time with this brew.

Overall, I found this brew to be a pleasant drink. You should try it if you see it.
