4 oz. pour into snifter

From notes. Consumed at the Tasty Weasel Taproom following the 2011 Tour de Cure in August. Excellent stop after a quick 60 mile bike ride for a great cause!

A: Deep copper (almost brown) with 0.5 fingernail head.

S: Rich, roasted, dark malt balanced by sweet cherries. Subtle hint of whiskey, but I was really searching for that.

T: Caramelized brown sugar with slight malt character straight to tart cherries. Balanced, warming overtones of Buffalo Trace. Straight forward and to-the-point. I like when a barrel aged variant does this.

M: Creamy and smooth start to finish. Refreshing.

O: A very nice rendition to a delightful Front Range classic! I really appreciate what the folks at Oskar Blues were going for here. The complexity, yet simplicity of this beer was brilliant! Most enjoyable.
