Interesting interpretation of Dales. Really nice cigar box notes interact beautifully with the hops and eliminate the one note I dont like in the normal version- the cereal graininess on the finish finish. Instead you get s very pleasant blend of tannic cedar and bitter citrus hops with s firm finish. Nice!

Enjoyed at Flanny's inside a shaker pint.

Caramel-orange with perfect clarity. The half-finger of thin, fuzzy head is ephemeral, disappearing quickly.

This smells less like a beer and more like a piece of cedar someone spilled beer on. Beneath the HEAVY cedar aromas, I get grapefruit and orange peel, a touch of burnt sugar and some funky biscuits.

The addition of Cedar makes the usually abrasively bitter Dale’s pungent and funky. The finish brings more sweet malt and honey, but this still tastes like a piece of wood — not that that’s a bad thing. Loves me some cedar.

The body is great — a sugary, syrupy medium. Very light, tingly carbonation brings a tiny bit of fizz. Clean, crisp finish, with Just a little heat.

This version of Dale’s is so very unlike the underlying beer and so very cedar-heavy. Tasty, but I could use a little more IPA and a little less wood.
